Tech N9ne-Bad Season [Mixtape]

The legendary Tech N9ne (not heard of him? Well he probably makes more money from his shows than most of your favourite rappers!) gives us a delightful new mixtape.

I haven’t heard this mixtape (which is hosted by DJ Whoo Kid & DJ Scream) yet, but judging by his past material I expect this to be very good. With guest appearances from esteemed names like Jay Rock, Travis Barker, Cookin Soul and Dr. Dre, there’s a little something for everyone here.

Sunday's Classic Collabo: Sway & King Tech - The Anthem

The very definition of classic collaboration right here, this infamous track features: RZA, Tech N9ne, Eminem, Xzibit, Pharoahe Monch, Kool G Rap, Jayo Felony, Chino XL & KRS-One. Kind of forgot about Classic Collabo this week, so hope this makes up for it! Amazing that this amount of stars came through and did this track, let alone a video! Check out the crazy visuals, and grab this vintage track below.

Two New Tech N9ne Joints

Couple of new Tech N9ne bangers for you this morning. Tech has such a unique style which comprises of the most intricate rhyme schemes and I’m surprised others haven’t tried to bite his flows. He has the ability to switch things up in an instant and can effectively spit slower when he wants to force his words home but can also rip apart the bars to create that overwhelming ‘wow’ factor.

The first, with Devin The Dude, is pretty chilled out and totally different from the second with Jay Rock; a high tempo, suitable-for-the-car kinda joint.

2010 Wake Up Show Anthem

I literally have no idea what the ‘Wake Up Show’ is, but this is one mega collabo. Some pretty big names involved in this one as you’ll see below, although the track isn’t amazing to be honest. Expected a lot more with some of the talent on show here, but still probably one worth checking out.

Locksmith, Kam Moye, Crooked I, Tech N9ne, Tajai, RZA, Ras Kass, B-Real and DJ Revolution-2010 Wake Up Show Anthem

Anywho, this is a long overdue post as I’ve stacked up a couple of tracks over the last 2/3 weeks that I haven’t managed to squeeze in elsewhere. There’s dance, hip-hop, pop and R&B, so click below for the goods.

A clearout of the inbox and BOOM: It throws up another UGHH for the hip-hop heads to enjoy.

This one is (mostly) full of artists who haven’t been featured on the site before, so amidst all the mainstream music that’s been up recently, we’ve gone so underground that you’re gonna need some sort of torch.

Click below for the 5th instalment of the revered UGHH series. As always, there are both new artists and slightly more established artists that you may have missed.

We haven’t had one of these with individual tracks in a while, and there’s a lot of stuff that I’ve been sitting on, so this is a Special Edition with 13 tracks. Thank me later.

Underground Hip-Hop

There’s an awful lot of music that gets put out to the internet each and every day. A lot of it will be artists that you’ve never heard of, but will have big followings. Trying to follow underground hip-hop is a difficult task, and sometimes it’s best to stick to a few names and follow them. This post is dedicated to some of those names you may have missed and gives you a sample of them.
