Sir Aah, Crooked I and Royce Da 5’9″-I Wonder If The Lord Knows Video

I’d forgotten about this track. Released almost exactly 2 years ago, this was actually the track that probably got people familiar with Sir Aah, and to me still stands up as his best material.

All three artists come on a real conscious tip, with Sir Aah commenting on the political and social problems rife throughout many Asian states with honesty, and hence arguably delivering his career-best verse. Crook spreads his targets wider, as he trots across the globe with his verse, acknowledging a wide range of issues in a typically enjoyable verse, whilst Royce focuses on the American situation in a solid verse of his own. Enjoyable track, and worth a couple of listens.

Sir Aah-Let's Go Remix (with Clipse) and Fresh (with Roc Marciano, Danny Brown and MarvWon)

Let’s take it back to the days of the A-Side and B-Side singles..

Starting off with the A-Side single, I’m here with a remix to my joint w/ the Clipse. I got Kais Khan from the UK on the production and I look forward to shooting the video for this real soon with Shomi Patwary of Illusive Media. I hope you like the Bollywood vibe we took this one. On the B-Side, we got Sureet “Digital Desi” Sandhu on the production with some of the underground’s finest on the vocals. I’m running with Roc Marciano out of NYC, and Danny Brown and MarvWon from Detroit. As a bonus (or C-Side), I went ahead and put some bars on a Rahat Fateh Ali Khan song. The language barrier might stop some of you from digging the Urdu classic, but I went ahead and called this the “Rahat Fateh Flow”.

Sir Aah/Nipsey Hu$$le - Leave With You

From Sir Aah himself:

“Feel like releasing another joint with a real summer vibe to it.. This is Sir Aah x Nipsey Hussle, once again.. We go back and forth on a Punjabi beat laced by Sureet Sandhu.. It’s been a hell of a run, big up to all those who post and download the music.. It means a lot!

The Real Punjabi MC coming this fall.. word to Kino.”

Can definitely hear where he’s coming from about this song having that summer vibe. Something about Punjabi music that has that effect (probably due to the amount of Punjabi weddings and associated booze-ups I’ve been to in the summertime over the years)!

Quick Blast: Sir Aah/Royce Da 5'9"/Crooked I

Sir Aah presents us with the lead single from his upcoming The Real Punjabi MC LP.

For And The Beat Rocks On, Sir Aah again enlists some help from underground/OTU favourites Royce Da 5’9″ and Crooked I. A Michael Jackson tribute is always well received and contains some tidy samples from the late pop king. What is also evident is Sir Aah’s emphasis on bringing his Asian roots through and it works well on this effort. Perhaps a taste of what to expect on The Real Punjabi MC…?

Visuals are expected on August 10th, but forgive me if I’m a day late on them because it will be my birthday!

Sir Aah-I Ain’t A Killa ft. Various Artists!

Sir Aah drops off some new stuff for us all to enjoy. As ever it’s very-feature heavy, with some really big names on I Ain’t A Killa. He’s also graciously sent across a remixed version of the Clipse feature Let’s Go, for which you can find the original here. I haven’t checked this out yet, but I expect it should be pretty decent. Grab the file below, which contains both tracks (as well as radio edits for the DJs).

Sir Aah and Clipse

I’d never heard of Sir Aah before a track surfaced a while back that featured Crooked I and Royce Da 5’9″, and I certainly didn’t know he looked like that-how many rappers do you know that are cricket fans?! Interesting to see an Asian rapper who is half-decent, and picks great features though (although he’s actually from the US).

The Clipse are great on this as expected, and the track is worth picking up if just for that. I’ve chucked in a fairly dope bonus joint below too, which again has some sweet guest verses.
