Iron Braydz ft. Sean Price-Fiery Red

UK artist Iron Braydz links up with Sean P for this joint off his upcoming album The Slugga.

Iron comes through with that noticeable London style, in what can only be described as the love-child of Klashnekoff, Giggs and Genesis Elijah, to spit two memorably hard verses which certainly stand toe-to-toe with the Heltah Skeltah one-timer Sean P. The instrumental on this is tailored perfectly for both emcees, containing a rolling eerie piano loop and heavy drums to boot.

Pete Rock & Smif-N-Wessun ft. Styles P & Sean Price-That’s Hard

A lot of people have been sleeping on this imminent project and I have no idea why. I mean, it’s Pete Rock AND Smif-N-Wessun (Wait. Didn’t they have to change their name due to the guns manufacturer?) Regardless, here they hook up with a double dosage of SP (Love what they did with the cover) for this heavy violin effort with equally mean lyricism and textbook scratches from Rock himself. Monumental drops June 28th.

Random Axe-The Hex [Video]

We haven’t covered anything Random Axe as of yet on OTU, but it’s a project, or should I say supergroup that I’ve been following closely over the past few weeks. It consists of the ever-enigmatic Sean Price, Detroit producer-cum-emcee Black Milk and fellow D-Town compatriot Guilty Simpson who have a self-titled album on the horizon.

Anyway, here are some visuals for their latest single The Hex which certainly drive home that ‘hardcore sound’ which I think the heads amongst us are expecting with this sort of lineup. As this is the music industry after all, I’m more about the audio than the visuals (although as I’ve said before, good visuals can make mediocre audio that much more authentic) and here we have a pulsating effort which sounds straight out of Black Milk’s basement and each emcee drops equally entertaining verses with superb chemistry.

June 14. Stay tuned for a little bit of hell on wax.

Sean Price-Shut The Fuck Up Video

Some new visuals and audio from Heltah Skeltah’s Sean Price to wake you up this morning.

What better way than with such an aptly-titled track as this.

Two New Drops – JoJo Pellegrino / Life & Death Prod.

Two new tracks after the click.

Pellegrino drops a new joint in anticipation of his upcoming LP Real Spit. He lines up some old school legends in the form of Sean Price from Heltah Skeltah and Deck known best for his work with the Wu. Pellegrino has been in the game for several years now, famously appearing on the fictional ‘Game Radio FM‘ station on Grand Theft Auto III. Many had high hopes however nothing much seemed to materialize and with features such as this, it seems he may be on his way back.

This track itself showcases Pellegrino’s flexibility on the mic and he holds his own against both his counterparts.

Underground Hip-Hop Part 3

mos-def
It seems as though what began as a regular post has now become a series in its own right. The stats for these posts are crazy, so first off: Thanks!

Here’s part 3, and again, we’ve got all sorts of hip-hop in here. It’s also very feature-heavy, so there are a lot of different rappers in this one.
