Why yes, it is a Friday!
2 relative newcomers and 2 very established artists in this week’s episode, providing plenty of diversity for all to enjoy. Whilst we’re on that number, there are 2 related posts to catch up on from the week gone by, with a SBTRKT remix of Frank Ocean’s Thinking About You, and a track from Mike Posner’s upcoming The Layover mixtape, with the full project set to drop at some point this weekend.

Six tracks from six respected artists to enjoy this week, bringing together a little bit of soul, a little bit of pop and a little more R&B.
The same can be said with this week’s related posts, with a soulful jam delivered by UK upcomer Cherri Prince, fellow Brit Emeli Sande collaborating with Wretch32 for a free single, a cinematic visual for The-Dream’s latest R&B slow jam, and finally a remix of Kreayshawn’s popular Gucci Gucci.

Some really interesting remixes this week, with the works of R&B poster boys Drake and Frank Ocean undergoing treatment from their peers. Of course, there’s a sprinkling of original material too with a range of styles represented.
A fair bit to recap on from the week gone by: a James Blake and Drake mashup mixtape, a very enjoyable R&B throwback from will.i.am, strong slow jam from Lloyd’s upcoming album, brand new material from Drake, and for some reason a video for Enrique, Usher and Lil’ Wayne’s collab and Britney’s latest single. Once again, it’s not quite a Friday. However, with the busy Christmas/New Year period over, hopefully these will be back on regular schedule from next week!
The past week has seen some pretty interesting R&B/pop pieces: Duck Sauce came through with a great remix of Chromeo and Elly Jackson’s single, the well-respected Jackie Boyz dropped off a mixtape, Marsha Ambrosius delivered an incredibly thoughtful video, Eminem remixed Dirty Money’s Hello, Good Morning, and we were also treated to two more Dirty Money remixes. Click below for this week’s instalment.

This is the Ja Rule that got me into hip-hop all those years ago. That irresistible Ja/Mary J combination over a solemn backdrop. This joint is hella old though (2008) but it seems it will be making an appearance on Ja’s upcoming Rule York.
Ja Rule – Press On ft. Mary J Blige
Many of you will remember this from the VMAs, and though its taken a while, the studio version is here. I’ve never been too big on the original, but having Mary J on the hook is probably better than Swizz. I know this song does have a lot of fans though, so this one is for you.
Drake-Fancy Remix ft. Mary J. Blige and Swizz Beatz
I’ve never been big on Taylor Swift, but this is a fantastic performance of her new song…about Kanye West. Click below to see a few other performances by Drake, Swizz Beatz, Mary J. Blige, Usher, N*E*R*D, Ciara as well as a superb fitting finale by Kanye West who also performs a brand new song (not to be missed).
Eminem opened the show with a great performance alongside Rihanna, which I’ll have to post later when I find a working link for those, as well as B.o.B, Bruno Mars and Hayley Williams performance together and an amazing Linkin Park offering!

19 tracks from 19 different artists this week tells you that this episode is stacked with variety. Mostly established names too (at least in the R&B Fridays series!), so this is definitely one to be getting involved with.
As per usual routine, let’s catch up with the R&B week gone by: the new Rihanna single, Ne-Yo’s latest video, hugely anticipated visuals for Bruno Mars’ debut single, the official tracklisting for Bruno’s debut album, much-delayed video from Auburn, and finally the latest collab from Taio Cruz and Tinchy Stryder.

Lots of material in this episode, and plenty has already been released throughout the week.
To recap: Trey Songz’s latest visuals, Khalil’s debut visuals, the official single from the upcoming Foreign Exchange album, Cee-Lo’s anticipated F*** You video, a fantastic cover of Outkast’s Prototype, and finally a new Trey Songz and Drake collaboration.
Oddly, there are some huge hip-hop names making appearances in this episode. Click on to see what they’re doing hanging around these parts, and what everyone else is up to.

Many of your Fridays have been centered around this OTU institution, and I’m glad to deliver this 50th episode of the hugely popular series. I’ve enjoyed writing it as much as you have reading it.
Before you see what’s in store this week, I’ve actually sprinkled a lot of R&B in other posts this week to build up some R&B love prior to this episode that you should check for. First off, go here for Ne-Yo’s new single. After that, check out the final version of Alicia Keys’ Rapture, Estelle’s latest single, a superb track from The-Dream, amongst other R&B-influenced tracks that have been posted.
Done all that? Good on you. Time to get the rest!

In a bit of a rush, so this is just a quick one from me. Will be one the R&B fans will enjoy I expect, and I recall thinking the track was decent when I let it go over 6 months ago.
If you would like to watch this video, then watch it. If not, then find something else on here to enjoy. I’m too tired to reel you all in.
I need to stop writing these at 4am (although you’re not getting it ’til 10.30am).
For the first time in a few weeks, I’m not rushing to get this done. As great as that is for me, for you it means I’ve gathered a great deal of material and carefully sifted through it all to deliver the best stuff. Not only that, but I’ve offered a little more in terms of track reviews than in recent times. I’m alright like that.
Big names, small names, new names and old names contribute as ever to bring your weekly dose of R&B. I don’t see any reason to not grab the vast majority of the 18 tracks on offer, and as quality goes it’s one of the best episodes in recent memory. Click on to inject yourself with the goodness.

Ghostface Killah: One ninth of the hardcore, street sounds of the Wu Tang Clan. So I’m going to drop some heavy, rapid-fire Ghost track from perhaps Supreme Clientele? Or maybe the high-energy Run with Jadakiss from his Pretty Toney album? I could have. They do after all depict Ghost as we have come to know and love.
You know me by now though; that would be too easy. This is a show stopper. A real classic…

A nice blend of mainstream and underground artists this week, and a bit of variety in the artists too with no particular artists having more than one track in this episode.
Click on to get your weekly fill of R&B nutrition. Apologies if some of my analysis is a bit short this week, I’m in a rush! Doing 14 tracks ain’t easy…

This week has seen a number of leaks (potentially) from Usher’s upcoming Raymond vs. Raymond, and it’s those that anchor this week’s episode.
This milestone episode has got a lot of quality, and a lot of new tracks that I’ve really enjoyed this past week from both huge and lesser known names, as well as a surprising number of unreleased tracks, and some from artists of years gone by which will catch some by surprise.
It feels like only yesterday I wrote Episode 1!

New/unreleased tracks this week from Usher, Lloyd, Tyrese and many more to keep you going. Before you scurry off to click through, there have been a couple of tracks dropped this week that were more than capable of headlining today’s episode, but I chose to release them earlier. Head here, this way, that way, and finally here to see which stuff I’m talking about.
Once you’ve done that, come back here, and continue your R&B adventures with more quality music. Deal?

It’s late, but it’s here. This episode is stacked too, yet another contender for the best yet. Artists? Chris Brown, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Sean Garrett and more. Number of tracks? Seventeen. Yeah, seventeen.
GOOD GRIEF MAN!

Click below for the 5th instalment of the revered UGHH series. As always, there are both new artists and slightly more established artists that you may have missed.
We haven’t had one of these with individual tracks in a while, and there’s a lot of stuff that I’ve been sitting on, so this is a Special Edition with 13 tracks. Thank me later.

A new weekly feature here, which will collect all of the week’s best R’n'B tracks and cram them into one huge, dripping mass of goodness. Nothing wrong with a nice slice of R’n'B. Some of this is/will become mainstream, some won’t, but are probably better than most of what is out there. Read on to see what’s in store this week.
