Grafh-Kush Freestyle [Video]

Grafh’s been perennially underrated over the last 5 years or so. Lyrically he’s up there with the finest and in terms of punchlines there aren’t many better.

Here we see a little in-studio video of his recent freestyle over Dr. Dre’s Kush. This further validates my feeling that maybe Grafh should step up his beat selection if he wants people to stop sleeping on him, as he sounds great on this. Audio available below.

Grafh-Dark Fantasy Freestyle

It was only a matter of time before rappers jumped on Kanye’s Dark Fantasy beat. It’s definitely one of the best productions on the album, and has a powerful hip-hop vibe that would suit almost any rapper.

Grafh is the first to step up, and comes through with some in-your-face rhymes that bring the type of perspective I expect many rappers to go for on this head-nodding beat. I’d imagine Royce coming through with a very similar style and flow on this beat, and hopefully we’ll hear a few more people taking on beats from this album: even if they end up being poor, they make the originals sound even better!

Tracks Lost In The Shuffle

The ‘shuffle’ being the hectic week I’ve had.

After the jump, a couple of Kanye-related tracks, a Cam’ron tribute to a fallen soldier, Sway, Grafh and a posse cut which features 3 heavy hitting New York rappers.

Oh and a collaboration between Jadakiss and Uncle Murda. In retrospect a pretty New York influenced post here, but would you expect any less from me?

Quickblast: Grafh - Go DJ

New one from Grafh here, which sounds very much like a Swizz Beatz production (whether it is or not, I don’t know).

New Tracks By Cassidy/Grafh

Nice couple of tracks here, the first is off Grafh’s brand new mixtape, From The Bottom. Absolute monster of a beat here, which will be blasting the bass off your expensive speakers and with Cassidy collaborating, you have two rappers punch-lining the track away.

Grafh – So Easy ft. Cassidy

The second track is Cassidy on his own, where he raps about all the battles and beefs he wants to see happen in hip-hop right now. Pretty cool concept, as it’s the sort of subject us fans often talk about with our peers, “who would win out of such and such” etc.

Grafh & Royce Da 5’9″

Some classic Hip Hop for you right here, two great lyricists over a haunting beat which has a very reminiscing feel to it. It’s a beat I’d expect someone like Joe Budden to jump on, as this is his usual lane, (not that Royce doesn’t do the track justice). Download it below.

DJ Kay Slay & 25 Rappers on 1 Track!

I didn’t know who to pick for the image, so please enjoy this dog in scuba gear.

25 rappers, I kid you not. So many in fact, I couldn’t add them all into the song title in iTunes! I’ve listed them below, and they can also be found in the ‘description’ section of the track.

DJ Kay Slay-Rollin’ 25 Deep pt. 2 ft. Bully, Bun B, Busta Rhymes, Dorrough, Glasses Malone, Grafh, Hell Rell, Jacki-O, Jay Rock, Jim Jones, Maino, Mistah F.A.B., Mysonne, N.O.R.E., OGK, Papoose, Raekwon, Redman, Sauce Money, Serius Jones, Sheek Louch, Styles P, Tone Trump, Uncle Murda & Vado.

Grafh Enlists Pretty Much Everyone For A Remix

Alright, so only 5 other rappers but still. It’s a big number for some.

I don’t really particularly dislike anyone on this track (naturally I have my favourites though), so I’m looking forward to seeing what they all bring to the table on this one. I expect it to be a very different type of posse cut to the one a couple of posts below, but equally worth checking out.

Underground Hip-Hop

There’s an awful lot of music that gets put out to the internet each and every day. A lot of it will be artists that you’ve never heard of, but will have big followings. Trying to follow underground hip-hop is a difficult task, and sometimes it’s best to stick to a few names and follow them. This post is dedicated to some of those names you may have missed and gives you a sample of them.
