Miami Beat Wave/Dead Prez - This Is Life

Three-man production collective Miami Beat Wave combine with Dead Prez to give us this nice and chilled slice of hip-hop. This is going to be on Miami Beat Wave’s upcoming compilation Slight Modification, which if anything like their last effort The Launch, is going to be pretty damn good.

Picks From Dead Prez-RBGG Mixtape

Having now copped and listened to the mixtape, below are a couple of picks you might be interested in.

The first is over Jay Electronica and Just Blaze’s excellent Exhibit C. In the second the duo take on Lloyd Banks’/Juelz Santana’s Beamer, Benz Or Bentley.

The above can either be grabbed individually below or you can get your grubby little mitts on the whole mixtape for free here.

Dead Prez-RBG Grillz Mixtape

Hopefully you got your hands on Dead Prez’ effort over Drake’s Over beat I posted ten days ago.

If you did, you will remember reading that they were soon to be dropping their Revolutionary But Gangsta Grillz Mixtape hosted by DJ Drama. What you will not have read (because I didn’t know) is that they are releasing it for free. On their website. Here.

I haven’t listened to it yet but will be after the Argentina/Greece game.

Go, go, go kids!

Quick Blast: Dead Prez

We’ve seen quite the amount of artists tackle Drake’s popular Over beat (Shyne, Trey Songz, Papoose, B.o.B. and your resident beat-ripper Royce Da 5’9″). Up this time is Dead Prez who drop some tasty bars in preparation for their upcoming mixtape Revolutionary But Gangsta Grillz hosted by DJ Drama. Although the militant duo haven’t dropped an album since their 2004 effort RBG, it is likely the mixtape will serve as a warm-up to their next studio album Information Age.

Don’t you recognize that second verse from somewhere…?

This post is dedicated to some of those names you may have missed and gives you a sample of them.
