Random Funnies: Diamond Dallas Page is Suing 3OH!3

Yes, THAT Diamond Dallas Page. Apparently, it’s over the hand signal that 3OH!3 use, and its similarities to DDP’s own trademark. Surely it’s more closely affiliated with Jay-Z’s gestures of choice?!

3OH!3-Double Vision Video (and Wiz Khalifa Remix)

Newest single from the 3OH!3 duo. I’ve not heard this before, and I’ll openly admit that I’m in no rush to check it out as their stuff can get quite annoying quite quickly. Edit: I take it all back-this track is actually pretty good!

However, the remix (and I think it’s an official one) adds Wiz Khalifa to the mix, which certainly should make things more bearable. A good look in the mainstream for Wiz if it is official.

R&B Fridays: Episode 37

There are some utterly awesome tracks in this episode, and I have no qualms with name-checking the new Janet Jackson track as the definite highlight of this episode. Of course, the rest is very good too, but that track is sweet.

Click on for new music from Ne-Yo, Mario and more.

The 5 reasons for posting this:

1. The song is funny.

2. The video has some funny moments.

3. Ke$ha doesn’t look like a horse anymore.

4. I try to keep everyone happy.

5. It’ll piss Murray off.

R&B Fridays: Episode 29

The first episode of 2010 brings a nice blend of established and new artists this week, which makes a pleasant change from the recent R&B Friday domination by big names.

This episode includes a remix to one of my favourites songs of 2008, and other cracking tracks, coming in at a collective total of 19 tracks this week. There are a couple of names making comebacks in this post too, so be sure to click on and start the year off with plenty of music.

Notorious Indi’s Best of ‘09

2009 was one hell of an interesting year. We saw the comeback of Eminem, albums by the 2 other big names of hip-hop in Jay-Z and 50 Cent, and once again we waited all year for Dr. Dre’s Detox which never came. It’s fair to say that despite this the year hasn’t been dominated by the big boys and we’ve seen a gradual change in hip hop – the gangsta rap of previous years has steadily evolved into what can be described as ‘Hip Hop Hipsters’. Kanye led the way back in 2004 and by 2009 the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Kid Cudi, Wale and Asher Roth have emerged.

Better late than never eh?

October definitely renewed my faith in music, after a September which was heavily reliant on 3 major album releases. Click below for my musings on the month, and as per last month, my favourite albums/songs from the last 31 days.

3OH!3 and Katy Perry Video

Here goes the video for Starstrukk. Admittedly, this song is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me as it’s a brainless, bouncy track which is great to have in the rotation. The video itself is fairly average, although it does have some funny moments. It has to be said that Katy Perry makes this song/video though.

“Don’t Trust Me”…Decide For Yourself

kid-cudi
Time for something a little more underground. 3OH!3 (pronounced three-oh-three) are an alternative duo who cross a few genres. Thus far, their biggest track is Don’t Trust Me, which Kid Cudi has recently taken the time to remix.
