Been a bit of a guilty pleasure for me over the last month! A guilty pleasure as this is a song about a footballer who plays for a team I dislike very much. I can’t hate on Mario though, he’s hilarious!
The track is rather addictive too, the opening verse and subsequent hook is the real highlight of the song. The video’s been shot well too, but a little disappointed they didn’t get Balotelli himself involved.
Apparently Tinchy and Mario have come together to create an official “Why always me?” t-shirt, so look out for those soon too.

Switching to something a little more mainstream, the latest effort from rising pop starlet Jodie Connor surfaces with a Tinchy Stryder assist.
Whilst it doesn’t have too much setting it apart from the general mainstream sound (dance-driven beat, popular guest feature, catchy hook), it makes for a ready-made club anthem that capitalises on the dance-pop beat with uplifting vocals from Connor. R&B Fridays fans will really enjoy/replay this, though it’s probably not for me by way of being a little too generic.
Can’t complain too much with the visuals though, combining a night-time feel with sharp, bright lighting and giving Jodie lots of camera time. A little corny at times, specifically the ‘dancing in front of a fast-moving road’ thing, but ideal for mainstream audiences. On iTunes now if you want the audio.

A definitely inebriated Giggs takes over Westwood TV and takes us backstage of Tinchy Stryder’s recent album launch party. A must watch as far as I’m concerned, I had no idea Giggs was so hilarious! I was on the fence about him/his music, but after seeing this I’m now a fully fledged fan.
He may have a rep for being “arrrrrd” (being incarcerated for gun possession suggests it’s not just an image) but it’s great seeing him just having fun. People he interviews in this include: Devlin, Ghetts, JME, Skepta, Griminal, Mr Hudson, Tinchy Stryder and a fair few other artists as well as some randomers.
Click on below to see parts 2 and 3 of this (towards the end of part 3 he kicks some freestyles to some American production, ironically one of them being a Young Jeezy beat!).

Very similar to the Tinie Tempah video posted yesterday, Tinchy comes through with a top vocalist (certainly one of my personal favourites) on the hook for a more emotional, R&B-esque effort for his latest single.
As with the Tinie single, I don’t lay claim to knowing/owning much of Tinchy’s music, but enough to know this is probably slower than his usual dancefloor stuff. Unquestionably, the highlight of the track is the Melanie Fiona hook, which is delivered in a rousing, motivational manner that elevates this track considerably.
Fairly simple video, with no particular story and lots of dark, rainy scenes to play off the title. A mainstream track through and through, this will please the chart fans.

The remix to the Tinchy Stryder’s huge posse cut was premièred on radio last week, and now we have the video for it. With the likes of Ghetts, Dot Rotten and Maxta, this remix will appeal to the Grime heads a lot more than the one that featured more mainstream acts like Example and Professor Green.
With two artists I’m personally liking a lot lately, Wretch 32 and Griminal (who has recently signed a major label deal), performing on this remix, it’s one that I’m preferring to the original.
No audio for you now folks, but I’ll hook you up as soon as possible.

Official video to one of the biggest tracks in Grime history (yeah I’m putting it out there). I do feel at times that there’s too much dissing going on in the UK scene, I appreciate the competitive side of the genre and that it was a genre born from battling, but seeing the biggest MCs collaborate like they have on this track is just superb to see.
Nothing flashy about the video, but it’s pretty good, keeps the focus on each MC which highlights each of their unique lyrical ability and flow on the mic.
Best verse for me would have to go to Devlin, there’s nobody spitting like him over on these shores. Audio can be attained from here.

This track was premièred last week on the radio and I’ve been waiting impatiently for a good quality version. Thanks to London To MK, we finally have a CDQ of this star studded lineup.
UK stand up tall.

Is this as good as Take Me Back? Probably not. Is this going to be a smash it in the charts? You can stake your life on it. This is the second single from Tinchy’s upcoming Third Strike album, so expect a video for it shortly.
I’ve only just realised (whilst writing this post) that this track is basically a sequel to Take Me Back, seeing as the chorus reads “I can’t believe I’ve got a second chance at love“. I’ve yet to decide whether that’s a cool concept or a cringe-worthy one (leaning towards the latter). It is a pretty good song though, but I get the feeling I’ll be getting sick of this when it’s on the radio/music channels constantly. Download link below.

He’s not wrong in fairness, Tinchy is pretty famous these days! Doing songs with Diddy pretty much confirms that. This track is set to be from his upcoming album, Third Strike, and it’s a track I’m liking! The beat on this is really where the track excels, beat selection being one thing Tinchy’s never really faltered on and certainly makes up for the times he fails to deliver from a lyrical point of view.

Indi posted this joint early last month and here’s the visuals to accompany.
This video also includes a track titled Game Over with Tinie Tempah and I’m actually feeling both of these joints. Big, grime beats and both artists stepping their pen games up.
Wait. What?

It’s no secret that we’re not the biggest fans of Tinchy Stryder on this site, however there is no denying his mainstream appeal. Due for release in August, expect this new single of his to be a hit. At the moment I haven’t got a high quality version of this track, so you’ll have to make do with this one (for now).

Diddy/Dirty Money go international for the latest remix of their hit Hello, Good Morning. I try and support UK hip-hop where I can, but it’s no secret that I just don’t like these two guys as rappers. They overshadow the real talent out there with mundane and generic pop music, that could literally be performed by anyone. Nothing unique.
However, for all my criticism, I do have a sadistic interest in seeing what they can do over this beat given that T.I., Diddy, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj have all dropped verses on it. Either they’ll step up and look alright, or be outed for being terrible. Fair play to Diddy for recruiting some UK guys though. Just pick better ones next time?

First up – thanks to a friend of mine, by the name of Compton, who pointed me in the direction to this brilliant song.
This is the fantastic single by McLean (brother of footballer Aaron McLean) that dropped a fair few months ago. You may have seen this video on the music channels lately, as it’s gotten pretty big. Check the video to this great track on the left here, and then pick up the audio for this below. I’m also giving you the remix featuring Tinchy Stryder, as I’m nice like that.
