Katy B and Ms. Dynamite-Lights On Video

Props to Nikul for introducing me to Katy B a little while back, as it’s not my normal territory. I really don’t know where/how to categorise her, which is both a problem and a compliment: her crossover sound has a diverse set of influences, which makes a nice change in the UK scene.

Solid track throughout here, with the charismatic Ms. Dynamite coming through with some superb flows on her verses. Katy B’s vocals are on top form too, with her rap-influenced verses complimenting the pop-friendly hook to deliver a catchy track from top to bottom. The house-influenced beat makes this ideal for clubs, and this will undoubtedly be a huge hit this winter.

Other notables: she has a very nice smile and the mannerisms of someone who finds this music game very easy!
