As premièred last week, here is the official video to this monster collaboration. Directed by Carly Cussen, definitely a feel to it being about four super-artists, literally, as each one controls an element each. Nicely symbolic of their roles as a group and also individually in the music scene today.
As always, good to see some air-time for each of these artists and the song itself is produced excellently by Lewi White. The single is available to download now for you all to enjoy over at iTunes. More of this please!

Been really looking forward to this ever since I spied murmurings between these artists on Twitter several months ago! Amidst rumours that these guys will be bringing us some sort of EP/album (I say rumours as I can’t remember if I actually read about this or whether I’ve just made that up in my head!) this collaboration was finally premièred earlier on BBC 1xtra Mista Jam. Just a radio rip that you can listen to on the left here for now, but a video has been made for this (by the director Carly Cussen, who brought us the Pow 2011 video), so look out for that very soon.
As for the song itself, is there really much to talk about? Liked Ed Sheeran’s Collaborations EP? You’ll like this. Like Yasmin’s vocals? You’ll like this. Like Griminal’s and Devlin’s raps? Yeah you get the point. With this single due for release later this month, expect a barrage of promotion coming your way from four very talented and acclaimed UK artists.

A definitely inebriated Giggs takes over Westwood TV and takes us backstage of Tinchy Stryder’s recent album launch party. A must watch as far as I’m concerned, I had no idea Giggs was so hilarious! I was on the fence about him/his music, but after seeing this I’m now a fully fledged fan.
He may have a rep for being “arrrrrd” (being incarcerated for gun possession suggests it’s not just an image) but it’s great seeing him just having fun. People he interviews in this include: Devlin, Ghetts, JME, Skepta, Griminal, Mr Hudson, Tinchy Stryder and a fair few other artists as well as some randomers.
Click on below to see parts 2 and 3 of this (towards the end of part 3 he kicks some freestyles to some American production, ironically one of them being a Young Jeezy beat!).

This premièred on Westwood earlier today with Griminal enlisting a strong line up to take on his recent single, which is one I enjoyed a lot. The talented artist signed to Universal a few months back, so we should hopefully be seeing more and more from him over the next year, as he prepares us a new album.
As I’ve stated before, I’m not too big on Chipmunk, but I’m pleased that he’s not gone too far in what seemed to be a complete transition away from grime to hip hop, it’s good to see him still feature and collaborate with his peers here in this industry. He opens up the song with a very likeable verse too. Baby Blue is probably one of the few female emcees in this country I have time for and she holds her own on this, which is pretty impressive as both Ghetts & Wretch 32 bring to the table of what we expect from the high standards they have set over the last few years.
Given the recent spate of quality UK grime and hip hop that’s flooded the airwaves over the past year – I haven’t been this excited about the UK scene since Kano released Home Sweet Home several years ago.

The remix to the Tinchy Stryder’s huge posse cut was premièred on radio last week, and now we have the video for it. With the likes of Ghetts, Dot Rotten and Maxta, this remix will appeal to the Grime heads a lot more than the one that featured more mainstream acts like Example and Professor Green.
With two artists I’m personally liking a lot lately, Wretch 32 and Griminal (who has recently signed a major label deal), performing on this remix, it’s one that I’m preferring to the original.
No audio for you now folks, but I’ll hook you up as soon as possible.

I don’t follow many rappers on the grime scene, but Griminal is someone I pay attention to. He’s a pretty versatile artist; as you can tell by his name, he does grime, but he isn’t scared to venture into other genres and go for a more hip-hop sound too. Anyway he’s gone back to his grime roots for this mixtape, almost as a two fingers up to those who claimed he’d turned his back on grime. Definitely one to check out for those who like a bit of UK music. Click here to grab the mixtape, and click below to see the tracklisting.

This is off Ghetts’ latest mixtape, The Calm Before The Storm, which you can buy from here. This track features two artists who I also happen to rate, so I was excited to see this collaboration – grime fans will like this.
