“As the title indicates, the multi-instrumentalist and UK Grime producer is raring to launch his new found direction out to the masses and send shockwaves across the scene showcasing his vocals for the very first time. “Ready To Go” is available as a free download from DaVinChe’s Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/DavincheMusic and features UK female MC Baby Blue who has previously worked with Estelle, Wretch 32 and Sway.
From start to finish, the track can’t help but drive the listeners to head bang due to the infectious drum pattern, along with the minimal but engaging melody. The song caters to a diverse crowd, from your everyday club goer to a music thirsty teenager. His message is clear cut yet smooth and very catchy. “Ready To Go” will instantly become a sing a long not ready to fade away in your memory.
DaVinChe is used to creating this effect and experimenting with other genres having produced various hits for UK Urban royalty such as Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder, Shola Ama, Giggs and Kano. He also runs his own label Dirty Canvas which he started in 2007 developing new UK acts such as Cleo Sol.”
This video here is a studio session of the creation of this track – big!

This premièred on Westwood earlier today with Griminal enlisting a strong line up to take on his recent single, which is one I enjoyed a lot. The talented artist signed to Universal a few months back, so we should hopefully be seeing more and more from him over the next year, as he prepares us a new album.
As I’ve stated before, I’m not too big on Chipmunk, but I’m pleased that he’s not gone too far in what seemed to be a complete transition away from grime to hip hop, it’s good to see him still feature and collaborate with his peers here in this industry. He opens up the song with a very likeable verse too. Baby Blue is probably one of the few female emcees in this country I have time for and she holds her own on this, which is pretty impressive as both Ghetts & Wretch 32 bring to the table of what we expect from the high standards they have set over the last few years.
Given the recent spate of quality UK grime and hip hop that’s flooded the airwaves over the past year – I haven’t been this excited about the UK scene since Kano released Home Sweet Home several years ago.

Yup, they’re really milking this song now – not surprised as the beat is immense.
Featuring: Ruff Diamondz, Adot, Envy, Cherri V, BabyBlue, RoxXxan, Lioness, Mz Bratt & Lady Leshurr (not heard of the majority of these females, I must admit), some of them come through with some very impressive verses, but a couple of them fail hard tbh.
Still, great to see some female mcs being given this opportunity for mainstream exposure with this remix, given that Grime is undeniably a male-dominated affair.
