When it matters, I’ll come through for you: 1 episode away from breaking all kinds of R&B records, and I’ve finally turned up on time. With this miracle taking place, what could I possibly serve up in next week’s edition to trump this? (great, I’ve just hyped something I haven’t come up with yet).
A few posts from the week gone by that will be of note: Skylar Grey’s superb live performance of Love The Way You Lie, Chris Brown’s latest set of energetic visuals, Diggy Simmons working with Bruno Mars for his mainstream single, an enormous 30-track official mixtape from T-Pain, and finally some fantastic visuals for The Foreign Exchange’s newest single.

Smooth track, and an equally smooth video. One of those tracks that you can’t help but enjoy, such is the quality of Dwele’s voice.
The video is similar to a couple I’ve seen before, but in this context it works well as it almost goes in the opposite direction to the audio, for a while at least. Enjoying that misdirection, and it’s a likeable video.
Audio is here if you didn’t catch it first time out.

Mr. West is back. This sounds like that classic College Dropout Kanye, with a pretty soulful, driving melody but comes laced over some much harder percussion than usual. There are even some elements of the 808s style in the drums, which work really well. It’s a welcome fusion of two styles that have served him so well.
I have to say I’m really feeling this, as Kanye gets his raps on point, delivering some good messages throughout. It’s been a while since I’ve heard him rap like this, and this will go some way to getting the hip-hop fans back to his music. This is set to be the street single from ‘Ye’s upcoming Good Ass Job, and features Dwele on the bridge.
I expect you will all be clamouring for this, I won’t delay you any further.

Sorry for the delay, but this was a hard episode, a busy day, and there were upload problems! There are 149 tracks in this, but I’m not going to lie and pretend I’ve listened to them all because I haven’t. The difficulty comes in figuring out the best way of shoehorning them all into one episode: I’ve opted to split up the stuff in .zip file ‘packs’ for artists who had 10+ songs, instead of doing part 2, 3 etc.
Whilst that should work for most, some of you are backwards so I’ve made a mini-tutorial on how to use .zip/.rar files here (Office 2003 or older? Click here). The things we do for you.
