Original vs. Acoustic? A Pop Punk Debacle

Is that…? Yes! That’s Frosties Kid! Watch his finest work to date here.

Now you’re hooked in with some classic FK, let’s get serious. As with most pop punk bands, they’ll release a standard record on their LP, and if it becomes a single or generally popular, they tend to include an acoustic version either as a bonus track or on a subsequent EP.

Rock Throwback: This Providence

To complement Murray’s Throwback Thursday, I thought I’d offer a throwback of my own, but from the alternative genre. I say throwback, the album was actually released less than a year ago, so I’m not throwing back very far.

I have to credit Tempest for giving me This Providence’s Who Are You Now? album many moons ago: I finally listened to it a month or so back, and I absolutely love it. There are some unbelievably good tracks on here, and out of a 13-track album I’m still regularly repeating at least 9 tracks, which says it all for someone with the turnover of music that I have.

Keep reading please. Thanks.
