Beady Eye-Bring The Light

Liam Gallagher’s new project release their much anticipated debut single, and I have to be honest: I don’t particularly like the Gallagher brothers, I’m an Oasis fan purely for the ‘big’ songs, and I don’t like this track a great deal.

Indie heads might enjoy this, and I will commend its very retro sound, which gives this a nice slice of originality. However, it doesn’t feel like it ever moves out of 1st gear, and feels a bit thin in terms of variety. It’s a lot of ‘baby come on’ repetition and not much else. Oasis fans will surely want to check this out though: you can preview and download (for free) the track in the widget included.

Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye

Fans of Oasis will be pleased to hear the news that frontman Liam Gallagher’s new band; Beady Eye, are looking to release their first single in October. The following debut album will most likely follow in the winter-time, the producer of which; Steve Lillywhite, has worked with such musical notoriety as The Rolling Stones, U2 and Peter Gabriel.

Oasis originally split back in August 2009 following a bust up between brothers Liam and Noel in Paris. The new band  Beady Eye is effectively composed of the original members of Oasis minus Noel,  seeing as former bandmates Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock follow Liam back into production. Exciting stuff.
