Second leak (that I’ve come across at least) from Gold Cobra, and I’m honestly feeling this a lot more than the first. That’s not meant to be a slur on Why Try, but if like me its that classic Chocolate Starfish and Hot Dog Flavoured Water sound you missed, this will bring it all back.
The track opens with the kind of sombre, isolated, lengthy melody that helped add an epic feel to some of their classics (e.g. Boiler, Take A Look Around) and combined with a slow build to a bigger, louder track that will definitely get the energy flowing (e.g. Crack Addict). It gets a little screamy towards the end, but it’s not overly excessive and does fit with the flow of the track. Definitely one to check out for the old-school fans, and a song that will be in my rotation for a while.
