R&B Fridays: Episode 109

He’s not in the episode, but I saw this picture and just had to use it. R. Kelly looks so content there doesn’t he?  You just know he’s not wearing any trousers either.

No recap or unnecessary additional bluster up here today. We’ve got a slightly longer episode this week thanks to a range of solid content, with a decent mix of acts stepping up to the plate.

R&B Fridays: Episode 83

To me, the early hours of ‘Saturday’ count as Friday, so welcome to the first on-time R&B Friday in a few weeks!

Not a great deal to recap on this week, with the only notables being another official remix to Lloyd’s Lay It Down, and an all-British collaboration from Alesha Dixon and Jay Sean. However, it’s more than made up for with this week’s episode: with almost 20 tracks from the likes of Trey Songz, Pitbull and many more, there’s lots to enjoy and keep you going until next week.

Want some? Come get some.

R&B Fridays: Episode 74

Bumper episode this week, with 20 tracks making the cut. It’s been a pretty busy time for R&B, hence I’ve let plenty of big R&B/pop tracks loose early this week.

The recap: Drake’s full version Fall For Your Type, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj’s first collaboration, a diverse track from Christian Rich, Trey Songz and Keri’s remix of a Dirty Money track, the final version of a great Lloyd track, and some ‘new’ Michael Jackson music.

A lengthy catchup, and it’s followed by a big episode: click below to get involved.

R&B Fridays: Episode 56 Part II - The Leftovers

Right, seeing as today has been pretty slow – I’ll let loose the tracks that didn’t make it in Friday’s jam-packed episode. I won’t bother putting much (any) analysis into these tracks, as most of them aren’t really my thing. By which I mean that a lot these songs are mostly of the slow type of R&B, which I’m sure a lot of you will like…loads. Click on for the goods.

R&B Fridays: Episode 55

With Ajay currently incarcerated in some grotty South African prison, your weekly R&B fix has been left with me to try and fill. Now I may not have anywhere near the amount of knowledge with this genre, I can however appreciate a good R&B song.

I’ve sorted through over 50 R&B songs over the last week and have narrowed it down to the best 24 and for that reason you shouldn’t at all be dissuaded from clicking on. We have some real gems for you, from the big names, to many a newcomer. Click that red text to find out whether I’m true to my word, or whether I’ve completely ballsed this feature up….(now that’s pressure!)

R&B Fridays: Episode 51

Good amount of stuff in here for your enjoyment, without swarming you with too many tracks. As ever, there’s a lot of variety with some upcomers, newcomers and established artists all contributing this week.

Couple of R&B posts this week you may have missed: the final version of Johnta Austin’s Close Your Eyes, and the official video for The-Dream’s Make Up Bag. After those treats, click on for some more.

R&B Throwback: Sterling Simms

Alright so R&B Fridays fans will/should have picked up a track by this dude in the last episode. If you didn’t, do so now.

Basically, Sterling’s been around for a while and has been dropping some great tracks on the underground R&B circuit for years. Midway through 2008, a superb track called Zoom (later renamed Eyes) leaked from his album. It was a classic example of how to make smooth, chilled and atmospheric R&B music, and remains as good as anything released since. This is one that shouldn’t be missed for anyone who enjoys R&B music to any degree, be sure to check it out below.

R&B Fridays: Episode 39

For the first time in a few weeks, I’m not rushing to get this done. As great as that is for me, for you it means I’ve gathered a great deal of material and carefully sifted through it all to deliver the best stuff. Not only that, but I’ve offered a little more in terms of track reviews than in recent times. I’m alright like that.

Big names, small names, new names and old names contribute as ever to bring your weekly dose of R&B. I don’t see any reason to not grab the vast majority of the 18 tracks on offer, and as quality goes it’s one of the best episodes in recent memory. Click on to inject yourself with the goodness.

R&B Fridays: Episode 31

Unusual episode this one. I actually had a vast majority of this material with me by the end of Saturday night and could have probably written an entire episode right there. There was a great deal dropped later in the week too, making this episode 19 tracks deep and in terms of quality it’s potentially one of the best yet.

Click below for new/unreleased music from Usher, Ne-Yo, Bruno Mars and many more. As usual, a couple of newer artists in there too. Before you do though, be sure to grab this fantastic Christina Milian track that Indi liberated (and consequentially robbed from this episode!) earlier this week.

Tyrese-jr14
New/unreleased tracks this week from Usher, Lloyd, Tyrese and many more to keep you going. Before you scurry off to click through, there have been a couple of tracks dropped this week that were more than capable of headlining today’s episode, but I chose to release them earlier. Head here, this way, that way, and finally here to see which stuff I’m talking about.

Once you’ve done that, come back here, and continue your R&B adventures with more quality music. Deal?
