In contrast to last week’s bumper episode, this week is a little shorter. However, that’s not to suggest it’s been a quiet week for R&B, as we’ve seen the release of plenty of videos/singles, and no less than 4 full-length mixtapes from R&B Fridays favourites.
Firstly, Bei Maejor came through with Upside Down 2, Chris Brown delivered In My Zone 2, Keri Hilson released her riskiest video to date and Trey Songz’s let loose of #Lemmeholdatbeat. After that, we got an enjoyable effort from the Dirty Money album along with the visuals for their latest single, Raheem DeVaughn’s latest mixtape and steamy new video, a full stream of R. Kelly’s new album, and finally the enjoyable video for the Lloyd and 50 Cent collaboration. Click below for the rest of this week’s R&B/pop.

Bumper episode this week, with 20 tracks making the cut. It’s been a pretty busy time for R&B, hence I’ve let plenty of big R&B/pop tracks loose early this week.
The recap: Drake’s full version Fall For Your Type, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj’s first collaboration, a diverse track from Christian Rich, Trey Songz and Keri’s remix of a Dirty Money track, the final version of a great Lloyd track, and some ‘new’ Michael Jackson music.
A lengthy catchup, and it’s followed by a big episode: click below to get involved.

Pretty unexpected, but I doubt any R&B/soul fans have absolutely any problem with brand new Chrisette Michele material!
You can give everything a preview before downloading too: I’m particularly interested in hearing her Aston Martin Music remix, as well as the snippet for part 2, as the original was definitely one of her best features to date.

Tagged up visuals, but visuals nonetheless. I do really like this track, and whilst I’m not Ricky’s biggest fan as a rapper, his beat selection is up there with the best in the game.
The features are superbly picked too, with both Drake and Chrisette making worthwhile contributions to the song. Take note folks, I doubt Officer Ricky will be getting this level of (indirect) praise ever again from me.
Stick your hand in here and you should pull out the audio.

19 tracks from 19 different artists this week tells you that this episode is stacked with variety. Mostly established names too (at least in the R&B Fridays series!), so this is definitely one to be getting involved with.
As per usual routine, let’s catch up with the R&B week gone by: the new Rihanna single, Ne-Yo’s latest video, hugely anticipated visuals for Bruno Mars’ debut single, the official tracklisting for Bruno’s debut album, much-delayed video from Auburn, and finally the latest collab from Taio Cruz and Tinchy Stryder.

Edit: Bringing this back to the top as we now have the official extended mix of Rick Ross’ version as well as this one!
Drake has done his own version of his collaboration with Ricky Ross, doing a verse of his own. I’d like to hear a version of both blended together tbh, so hopefully someone will get that done.
Get Drake’s version and also an offcial mix of Drake’s version with the original below.

Edit: Bringing this back to the top as we have the high quality (without annoying DJ tags) version now. I guess rumours of a Drake verse were unfounded, unless this still isn’t the final version. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Another leak from Rick Ross’ Teflon Don. This has DJ tags all over it, but rest assured when we have the proper version for this, we’ll put it up.
Really liking this track, mainly for the Drake feature – Drizzy gets his So Far Gone R&B on and provides an excellent hook, to which Rick Ross comfortably raps around. According to Rick Ross’ Twitter, he’s going to leak his collaboration with Jay-Z himself very soon. So look forward to that one too.

This week’s episode is packed with a gigantic, sweaty mess of tasty new music from Robin Thicke, Ne-Yo (of course…) and more big names after the click.
