Lauryn Hill and The Roots Cover Bob Marley’s Is This Love

It’s always great to hear this Bob Marley classic, but when it’s performed by the brilliant but elusive Lauryn Hill, there’s a whole new experience to enjoy.

As you’d rightfully expect, Lauryn stamps her authority on the track with a great performance, making it sound as if it was written for her in the first place. Ably backed by The Roots, this is a performance that’s well worth watching.

Shyne/Biggie/Bob Marley - Belize

New track by Shyne, which enlists the late greats Biggie & Bob Marley on the hook. Still trying to get used to Shyne’s new flow, but he has improved on those rather bewildering freestyles & remixes he released when he first came out of prison.

Celebrating The Life of Bob Marley

Yesterday (May 11th) marked the 29th anniversary of musical, religious and humanitarian icon Bob Marley’s death. Everyone has been touched by Bob’s music at some point in their lives, and even though he passed long before I was born, I still appreciate the talent and legacy of one of the all-time greats to this very day. In a day & age where humanitarianism is becoming a PR stunt, Bob’s approach to life was both admirable and enviable. To quote Marley’s last words: “Money can’t buy you life”.

One Love, one of his many iconic songs, was the first song I remember of his, so kick back and relax to some smoothed out vibes and feel proud that this man inspired so many people, and so much of today’s music. Regardless of today’s music, no-one can ever deny the enjoyment and fulfillment of a Bob Marley track, so click play and enjoy the sounds of a true legend!
