Of all the bands to do a cover, Klaxons are definitely the right pick. Gaga’s mental, and so are they.
As you’d expect, these guys do a decent job on this (remember their cover of Justin Timberlake/T.I.’s My Love?). What’s interesting is that if you listen to the two back-to-back, it’s quite clear that vocally they’ve improved massively, both collectively and individually. They make this sound like it could quite comfortably be their song in the first place, which is about as good as it gets for a cover version.

Can’t say that I’m a fan of Lady Gaga or her work, this remix, (brought to you by Urban Noize) however will find a place in my playlist for the next few weeks!

Haven’t watched this one yet, but no doubt it will be completely insane with a hint of crazy. Apparently, this song is dedicated to gay people (haven’t heard it before so can’t confirm), so this one’s for you folk!

Watch, and be amazed. Utterly brilliant, insane, compelling and just classic.

So first Mediafire doesn’t let me upload. Then, my laptop decides it doesn’t like my external hard drive anymore. Then when they kiss and make up, Mediafire just won’t work for me. Annoying.
Anyway, lots of interesting songs in this week’s episode. I say interesting as a couple of them have quite pertinent backgrounds/accompanying news, which will definitely be of interest to most R&B fans!
A whole bunch of diverse tracks in this one, I tried to keep it as mixed as possible with 15 different artists, seeing as we went Bruno Mars-centric last week. Big names (lots of these), upcoming names, collabos, singers, rappers and more: they’re all there and waiting for you after the click.

Even after letting loose of 3 Bruno Mars-related goodies in the last 24-hours, this may as well be R&B Fridays: Bruno Mars edition. A bunch of unreleased Bruno material leaked last weekend (he has 11/20 tracks in here!), and the sheer quality of it makes it dominant in this episode. Make sure you check out the amazing track from his upcoming EP beforehand.
Good material from a range of other artists too, including Ciara and The-Dream. I never say this on any of my posts because I don’t want to ‘force it’, but I genuinely think you guys should be looking to grab everything in this week’s episode, such is the quality.
I’m really proud of this week’s episode, as it’s absolutely packed with playlist dominators, and the only way to do justice to these tracks was to spend time on the reviews: make it worth my time and click on.

This is very good. It’s over 9 minutes long, which is almost MJ-esque, but it’s really worth watching.
They’ve gone in a direction absolutely no-one would have expected with the video in terms of theme/story, but it works and it’s worryingly compelling to watch. Audio can be swacker-jacked here if you were too ignorant the first time.

I got quite lucky with this week’s episode. I’d hoped to throw in a couple of older tracks that I revisited/reloved this week, and thankfully there hasn’t been a huge glut of material released this week to overshadow that. Don’t panic: Naturally, there is still a load of new stuff. I usually try to sneak in some older tracks when I can (dedicated followers will attest to this), I’m just extra keen this week.
New stuff from Jason Derulo, Usher and more after the click. Before you do though, be sure to check out The-Dream’s newest track which was dropped yesterday.

Mixture of tracks this week, with a couple of new artists (to this site at least) making appearances. As well as them, there’s big names such as Lloyd (with an official remix of Bedrock), J.Lo and more.

I can’t even imagine the thoughts running through our male readers’ heads right now.
Trina drops off two tracks with some heavyweight features. Million Dollar Girl is the first single from Trina’s upcoming album and will be a surefire club smash. Keri slays this hook, and it’s going to go down incredibly well. Unfortunately, the GaGa featured-track isn’t very good, and it’s also not a final version as it’s low quality and has DJ drops.
EDIT: Apparently, Mediafire is down for a couple of hours so I’ve switched the links to ZShare.

2009 was one hell of an interesting year. We saw the comeback of Eminem, albums by the 2 other big names of hip-hop in Jay-Z and 50 Cent, and once again we waited all year for Dr. Dre’s Detox which never came. It’s fair to say that despite this the year hasn’t been dominated by the big boys and we’ve seen a gradual change in hip hop – the gangsta rap of previous years has steadily evolved into what can be described as ‘Hip Hop Hipsters’. Kanye led the way back in 2004 and by 2009 the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Kid Cudi, Wale and Asher Roth have emerged.

You thought I’d forgotten? Shame on you. I’m allowed a day off for Christmas.
The last R&B Friday of 2009 is packed to the rafters, with 21 (!!) tracks from a glut of good names. Beyoncé (with a Ne-Yo assist) anchors the bunch with a surprisingly high number of tracks in this one, and there are of course many other superb artists waiting for your attention after the click.

New/unreleased tracks this week from Usher, Lloyd, Tyrese and many more to keep you going. Before you scurry off to click through, there have been a couple of tracks dropped this week that were more than capable of headlining today’s episode, but I chose to release them earlier. Head here, this way, that way, and finally here to see which stuff I’m talking about.
Once you’ve done that, come back here, and continue your R&B adventures with more quality music. Deal?

Not one, but TWO collaborative tracks from this hugely talented duo after the click. Told you this would be a big day. And we haven’t even got to R&B Friday yet.

Bad Romance is set to be on the re-release of her debut album The Fame. The re-release is titled The Fame Monster. Haven’t checked this out yet, and it’s only a preview version: this is NOT the final version.
