There’s one simple reason this is late: I forgot. I subsequently considered leaving it for this week, but then realised how many of your lives cling on to the faint glimmer of light and tiny shreds of hope that R&B Friday gives you.
Solid material dropped throughout the week, including a not-to-be-slept-on mixtape from Mateo, Gilbere Forte dropped a superb remix of an Adele track, an interesting piece of retro dance-pop from Holy Ghost!, unusual visuals for Katy Perry and Kanye West’s collaboration, and finally a video for Chipmunk’s latest single with the lovely Keri Hilson.

Two primary reasons for posting this: firstly, it’s a warmup for R&B Fridays (which should be on time this week!) and secondly, it doesn’t exactly require much brainpower to watch this sort of video, especially when J.Lo is looking as good as ever.
The video is pretty much everything you’d expect from this sort of song, with lots of energy and a superclub setting being the general themes of the visual. Lopez can definitely still get it done on the dancefloor, whilst Pitbull does his usual not-really-doing-much thing.
Audio can be grabbed here. My earlier fairly positive review may have been short-sighted as whilst for now its fairly bearable, I can see this becoming quite annoying soon. There’s always that mute button though.

No recap this week thanks to a temperamental hard drive, but R&B Fridays actually makes it out on a Friday for the second consecutive week, which is a pretty big victory.
Lots of remixes and rappers popping up this week, with some huge names coming through with some very unexpected pop and R&B remixes. More than enough original material too though, making this a very diverse episode that’ll satisfy the vast majority of you grubby little folk.
Click on and let me be the Snoop to your Cameron, though R&B/pop probably isn’t the same as marijuana…probably.

Stacked episode this week, with some huge mainstream singles alongside great material from underappreciated artists. Quality wise, it’s one of the strongest R&B Fridays of recent months for sure: one of those where you could easily grab everything on offer.
The recap: Mastered version of Lloyd’s latest, Willow Smith’s debut video, Ne-Yo covering an MJ classic, Rihanna’s newest video, and finally the anticipated video for Chris Brown’s new single.

Lots of things I could pick out in this week’s episode, but probably the most prominent would be the features: there are lots of them! A couple of unexpected ones too, including Asher Roth’s first appearance in R&B Fridays.
Warm yourself up for this episode with some help from Bruno Mars and Nicki Minaj: watch Bruno Mars perform some classics, listen to Bruno collab with Damian Marley, and enjoy a cover version of Just The Way You Are. Then, grab a great Nicki-featured collabo, listen to her next single from Pink Friday, and finally catch her blended with La Roux and Colin Munroe.

Some very good music from new upcomers in this episode, and I expect you’ll definitely find a new artist to latch onto in here. Some stuff from R&B Fridays favourites such as Bruno Mars too of course, and plenty of it with a total of 21 tracks making the final cut for this episode.

Sorry for the delay, but this was a hard episode, a busy day, and there were upload problems! There are 149 tracks in this, but I’m not going to lie and pretend I’ve listened to them all because I haven’t. The difficulty comes in figuring out the best way of shoehorning them all into one episode: I’ve opted to split up the stuff in .zip file ‘packs’ for artists who had 10+ songs, instead of doing part 2, 3 etc.
Whilst that should work for most, some of you are backwards so I’ve made a mini-tutorial on how to use .zip/.rar files here (Office 2003 or older? Click here). The things we do for you.

40 episodes. Wow.
Click on for a 21-track barrage of music, including new music from Lloyd, Jagged Edge, Cheryl Cole and a stunner from R. Kelly. Before you do all that, make sure you check out the R&B Throwback I dropped earlier this week from Sterling Simms. Done that? Good.
FYI, Megan Fox has absolutely nothing to do with this episode. She just came for the 40th episode celebrations.

Mixture of tracks this week, with a couple of new artists (to this site at least) making appearances. As well as them, there’s big names such as Lloyd (with an official remix of Bedrock), J.Lo and more.

A very different line-up this week to what we’re normally used to, but still bringing the R&B goodness. There’s an entirely free 14-track EP from the acclaimed Kevin Cossom in there too, so be sure to click on.
