Game ft. Fat Joe and Young Chris – GreyStone

Say what you want about Game, but he’s got a good publicity team behind him as he preps for his fifth studio album (F.I.V.E: Fear Is Victory’s Evolution) with the DJ Skee-assisted mixtape California Republic.

Latest drop is this little soulful number enlisting help from Fat Joe and Young Chris who spit welcome verses between them. With regards to the upcoming LP, I personally was disappointed with Game’s last offering as a whole (bar a few excellent tracks) in comparison to his first three LP’s, so I hope the next effort is a much more rounded effort from the West Coast spitter.

Young Chris-Flatline ft. Lloyd Banks

This surfaced back on Friday night…however I was fairly (very) intoxicated at the time and have been playing catchup ever since.

Young Chris flows along to some blasting production that will be appreciated by many a car speaker. It’s actually perfect production for a rapper like Lloyd Banks to feature on and it certainly enhances the quality of both of their verses. You don’t really need me to hype this up though as you know this is good if I’m bothering to post it 4 days late.

Loving the artwork too; simple but effective.

Young Chris-Devil In A New Dress

Kanye’s Devil In A New Dress is a song I have a lot of time for and Young Chris is a rapper I have a lot of time for. Thus it was a no-brainer to post this, in spite of the song being rather old and overused by others now.

For those interested in the old/new Rocafella, some interesting lines in this one. Young Chris flows really well to this beat as well.

Young Gunz (Chris and Neef)-Back To Business

So it appears Young Gunz are now referring to themselves by their names Chris & Neef. Probably makes sense given that they’re a little older now, although it is of course irritating for us iTunes-tidy folk. Anywho, this mixtape marks their ‘official’ comeback and will hopefully be packed full of some nice hip-hop in what’s been a bit of a barren spell for good mixtapes.

Young Chris – What Should I Do ft. Latif [Video]

Some visuals from Young Chris’ recent mixtape, got a lot of time for this guy – not only can he rap well, he makes good music. Shame how the whole Rocafella situation turned sour, not just for Chris, but that whole crew, Beans, Freeway etc.

Former Rocafella artists, Young Chris & Young Neef collaborate with current Rocafella, Curren$y – over Kid Cudi & Snoop’s track, That Tree. Grab this interesting track below.

Young Chris/Young Neef (Young Gunz) - We Back

Young Chris has gone the solo route as of late, but here he is back to team up with fellow Young Gunner, Young Neef. Those who miss the Rocafella days will appreciate this.

Quickblast: Young Chris & J. Cole

Nice track here by Young Chris & J. Cole, has that classic Rocafella feel to it. Oh and its good to see not everyone from the old Rocafella stable burning their bridges, so to speak.

As always, get the track below.

Termanology and Young Chris Freestyles

Couple of freestyles for you below. The first is Termanology delivering some bars over Eminem’s 3am, and the second sees Young Chris taking a spin on Drake’s Fear. Not sure why Fear has suddenly emerged as a freestyle favourite, it’s been around for a while. Not complaining though.

Sunday’s Classic Collabo: Twista/Young Chris/Freeway/Memphis Bleek

roc
Taken from Twista’s hugely successful album Kamikaze, this collabo is epic for a couple of reasons.

1. The Just Blaze beat.

2. This was (a united) Rocafella at it’s very best.

There’s no chorus to this track, it’s just 4 mc’s trying to outshine one another and the fact that I find it difficult to say which verse is my favourite indicates the quality of the song. Get it below.

Underground Hip-Hop Part 3

mos-def
It seems as though what began as a regular post has now become a series in its own right. The stats for these posts are crazy, so first off: Thanks!

Here’s part 3, and again, we’ve got all sorts of hip-hop in here. It’s also very feature-heavy, so there are a lot of different rappers in this one.
