New material is slow today, so time for another awesome throwback. Younger fans won’t know these guys, but you should read on as there’s a good chance you’ll recognise the track when you hear it.
To make a lazy comparison, Stetasonic were like The Roots before they existed. They were one of the first hip-hop acts to use a live band, and the below track is possibly their most popular. It’s one of those tracks that makes me feel instantly nostalgic, as some hazy memory kicks in of hearing this as a kid. I expect it will do the same for you, and it’s a nice bit of uptempo/uplifting old school hip-hop that should really be in everyone’s library.
