Sha Stimuli, Sheek Louch and Joe Budden take us on a journey through their respective neighbourhoods, both visually and lyrically. The effects used on this go really well with each of the verses, along with the black and white effect which amplifies the grittiness that is the areas that surround them.
The track is produced by J. Cardim and featured on his compilation mixtape, The IN Crowd. You can grab the audio for this over here.

New mixtape from DJ Kay Slay which features a whole host of familiar names. From the likes of Raekwon, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Styles P, Papoose, Vado, Maino and Ghostface Killah, we can see a huge New York influence on this mixtape (wouldn’t expect any less from Kay Slay!).

The other three quarters of the Slaughter join Joell’s collaboration with The Lox, Put Some Money On It, which is from Joell’s recent Free Agent album.
With that classic early to mid 90′s sound with the production, this song is all about a hella amount of top-level lyricists doing what they do best. A great beat can make any artist sound good, but only the truly special emcees can take average beats, or looping posse cut type beats such as this one and make it into an enjoyable track. I’m unsure as to has the best verse on this, I’m going to need to listen to it a lot more before I come to any real conclusions, but on first impressions Royce takes it for me. Great to see Slaughterhouse on their grind again, what with their other recent track announcing their return.

One for the heads this morning. With a heavy-hitting lineup here it’s worth checking just to see who brings their A-game. The chorus is a bit generically annoying but Ortiz’ verse is a pleasure and without doubt takes the throne on this one.

The ‘shuffle’ being the hectic week I’ve had.
After the jump, a couple of Kanye-related tracks, a Cam’ron tribute to a fallen soldier, Sway, Grafh and a posse cut which features 3 heavy hitting New York rappers.
Oh and a collaboration between Jadakiss and Uncle Murda. In retrospect a pretty New York influenced post here, but would you expect any less from me?

Remember when these all-star guest tracks were rare? Those were the days. It seems like there’s one every couple of days, which massively dilutes their novelty.
Having said that, the line-up for this one is probably stronger on average than other recent posse cuts. Original can be found here.

If this is what Sheek Louch thinks is hip-hop, I’m certainly not disagreeing. With Joell Ortiz & Termanology on the track, we’ve got a lyrical affair blessed with a head-nodding beat. Real classic sample on the hook too.
This Scram Jones production is going to be on a mixtape from Sheek Louch (Donny Def Jam) which as of yet has no release date.

It’s this kind of line up which would have the late, great Notorious feeling proud for his boy Lil Cease.
Not particularly sure where this has surfaced from so just enjoy it until I get more info.

Another new one from Sheek straight off the upcoming Donnie Def Jam mixtape with DJ Green Lantern.
Like his other LOX counterparts, Sheek knows how to pick a good beat and comes with heavy, street-focused lyricism.
If you missed his last drop Indi so kindly provided us with yesterday then you can get that here too.

Dope new track from two-thirds of The Lox. This is from an upcoming Sheek Louch mixtape with DJ Green Lantern, so expect that to be awesome.

Visuals for Quest Tha Young’n and his lead single Stick Up from his debut album Quest For Greatness.
Make of it what you will. Some pretty crazy flows from Term at the end which makes it, all in all, well worth the watch.
Audio here. You love me really.

Interesting one to kick off your day, and I’m quite looking forward to giving this a listen. A good group of decent artists pay homage to Cypress Hill, including Asher Roth, Styles P, Sheek Louch, Redman and buzzing man of the moment Yelawolf (amongst others). Should be a fairly entertaining listen, and includes some of Cypress Hill’s classics in there too.

25 rappers, I kid you not. So many in fact, I couldn’t add them all into the song title in iTunes! I’ve listed them below, and they can also be found in the ‘description’ section of the track.

Red’s track is steadily gaining some serious momentum, and these two remixes will certainly help that. The first has Ryan Leslie on the hook, with additions from Claudette Ortiz and Lloyd Banks. The second features hip-hop vetereans The LOX. Both are worth checking out for sure. Love this beat the more I hear it, and I’m not irritated by the Jay-Z sample for a change. Original can be viewed/accquired here.

A modern spin on the Big Daddy Kane classic, each rapper lays down a verse and the production is tweaked slightly. Nothing will come close to the brilliance of the original, but it’s still worth checking out as it’s a decent effort.

Two tracks for you below, both with some good features. If I’m honest, I’m expecting the Blockstars Remix to be a bit of a mixed bag, as some of those guys can go, whereas others aren’t so hot (original version here). I’ve got high hopes for Fat Raps though (produced by Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids) as I expect all 3 to bring something good to the table. Surprisingly, Chip and Curren$y make their first appearances on this site.
Make your own judgements, mine’s just based on the line-ups so click below and have a listen.
