Sadly, Soundcloud decided to play up yesterday, so forgive me for the delay on this collaboration. After a short intro, the track blasts into life with an aggressive, in-your-face Jean Grae verse. Can’t argue with some of her clever raps, and it sets the tone superbly. Monch comes through next with a range of flows that display his versatility, switching things up throughout to keep you intrigued. Royce closes off with another good verse, and though he has one or two of the nicest lines, he probably has to take the loss on this one. The beat is frantic, explosive and certainly adds to the intensity of the verses, making for a very solid all-rounder. W.A.R. coming March 22nd.

Always refreshing to see artists pushing the envelope when it comes to creativity within music. Monch drops us the extended visuals to his single Clap (One Day) from the upcoming W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) album. Monch’s track dips in and out at various key points in the epic clip, which follows a guilty conscience of a police officer who shoots a child, before a brilliant climax supported by a powerful acappela. The visuals here certainly add sentiment to the track and utilizes some emotional and somewhat controversial imagery to achieve this. If you’ve got ten minutes to spare then this is definitely worth a watch as you’ll find yourself gripped from start to finish.
Mellow production with a soulful chorus provided by Phonte sets up a simple East Coast anthem for The Ghost and Monch to drop some street wisdom. Monch may no longer be on his erratic, Organized Konfusion tip anymore, but still has plenty to offer this industry with his subject matter.
