Noreaga ft. French Montana & Joell Ortiz–Sun Tzu (Clean)

This has club banger wrote all over it. Noreaga teams up with French Montana and Joell Ortiz to give us Sun Tzu, named after the famous Chinese military general (that’s as much of a history lesson as you’re likely to get from me!).

As for the track itself, lyrically it doesn’t really offer up anything special, but with a beat like this you don’t need it to. It’s all about the thumping bass and the catchy hook (I’m going to be sat here all night aawwwoooooo’ing now). When Joell jumps on, the track improves tenfold, though I’m not really a massive Noreaga fan so I may be being a little biased here. Definitely one to be played at full volume.

N.O.R.E.-Don’t Know What To Do [Big Pun Dedication]

This was actually made by Noreaga 10 years ago, but he never released it, so that Cuban Link’s own tribute song wasn’t overshadowed.

Glad this has finally seen the light of day, I’m a big fan of genuine dedication records like this, which often reflect real vulnerability in a rapper that is refreshingly honest.

DJ Envy-Lookin Like Money ft. Jim Jones, N.O.R.E., Maino & Styles P

This is one of the best posse cuts I’ve heard in quite a while. A beat that would sound great in your car and an auto-tuned hook that is nothing particularly special, but still does the job of getting stuck in your head.

Oh, and four rappers who are all renowned for their impeccable flows, fondness of money and hard-hitting lyrics.

J. Cardim, Ol' Dirty Bastard and N.O.R.E.

A line-up to set Murray’s heart racing, hopefully Cardim provides a nice beat for the rhymes from two heavy-hitters. As you can guess, I’ve not listened to this yet but Cardim has spun up some gems recently so I don’t expect this will let us down.

Peter Rosenberg and Cypress Hill-The Uprising (Tribute Mixtape)

Interesting one to kick off your day, and I’m quite looking forward to giving this a listen. A good group of decent artists pay homage to Cypress Hill, including Asher Roth, Styles P, Sheek Louch, Redman and buzzing man of the moment Yelawolf (amongst others). Should be a fairly entertaining listen, and includes some of Cypress Hill’s classics in there too.

Didn’t See This Coming

kid-cudi
N.O.R.E., best known for his early 00′s hit Nothin’, has recently collaborated with Kid Cudi. This is definitely an unlikely duo, but the track is decent. It’s nothing mind-blowing, but it’s definitely likeable and will probably grow on me. Download it here:
