Something for the undergrounders now. MF Grimm, one-time collaborator with MF Doom and Kool G Rap, is an inspiration to all. After surviving a murder attempt in 1994 he is still holding down the game from the constraints of his wheelchair.

This is my pick from his recently released You Only Live Twice: The Audio Graphic Novel. Engaging production, carefully crafted story-telling and cartoon samples tie in together crafting a very repeatable track which sits tactfully at number two on the LP, drawing his audience into the rest of the album.

And what’s more, You Only Live Twice features a 16 page comic book illustrated by Spider-Man’s Jim Mahfood!
