This weeks classic collaboration is slightly different to the many I have featured before on this website, in that this track is a far more commercial one. What I mean by that is, this track will win no prizes for it’s lyrics or it’s subject matter.
In 1999 Cash Money Records were just as big a name as they are now. Yes they existed before Lil’ Wayne actually got good at rapping, and yes Lil’ Wayne has been around for over 10 years now and not for 3 as some of you may think!
This track is taken from Juvenile’s 400 degreez album, which some consider to be a classic.
If you’re disappointed then don’t worry, next week’s track will be a lyrical monster, for now just enjoy a superb and catchy song. The beat for this is produced by Mannie Fresh, who I consider to be a very underrated producer (he raps on the second verse incidently). You can get the audio for this below:
