Layzie Bone-Hear Em Knockin’ ft. Krayzie Bone & Flesh-N-Bone

With three members of Bone Thugz featuring on this, you could just call this a Bone Thugz song. However, it is mooted for Layzie’s upcoming album, The Definition, which is out next month.

Speaking of Bone Thugz, I have no idea if they’re actually still together or not, or which members have fallen out with who. So many conflicting reports, something that has been synonymous with Bone Thugz since the very start.

As for the song, this is bloody brilliant and at the same time encapsulates all my frustrations with these guys. When they’re capable of making such high energy, quality flows and hooks to excellent production, why did they insist on releasing a lot of the tripe that featured on their last (disappointing but much anticipated) reunion album, Uni5: The World’s Enemy?

Anyway, rant over. This track is brilliant, so pick it up by clicking right here.

Apologies for the inconsistency/delays in posting over the last 24-36 hours, material keeps coming whenever I’m unavailable!

This one landed in my lap yesterday, but a little too late for posting. Kay Slay gets four of the fastest, most experienced spitters in the hip-hop game together and draws some tongue-twisting verses out of them. Of the rappers included, I’ve always been a bigger fan of Busta, and it’s great to hear him snapping like this again as he’s always more enjoyable when he brings his high-tempo game. Understandably, it takes a few listens to catch any of the lyrics but Twista probably edges it in that respect, while Jaz-O probably has the most diversity with his flows. Great little bit of hip-hop, you can’t help but admire this sort of flow.
