FINALLY, we have a regular episode. After the triple digits of last week, we’re back down to normal levels. I’ve made an effort to throw in more new artists this week as the last few have been really mainstream, so there are some lesser known gems in this one for you to check out.
Obviously plenty of established names in there too though, so be sure to click on for a digestable instalment of R&B goodness.

Our Chicago bretheren GWHH fire us over another dope track, with LA & Mr. Music on the cut. You should all be familiar with the duo by now, and they’re gaining some serious momentum over in the States, with this track premiering on one of Chicago’s biggest radio stations.
The Stars is an addictive club anthem, with a superb production. It’s got elements of pop meshed with some R&B and dance vibes, which creates a nice blend for this uptempo number. LA drops a couple of nice lines in his verses, and tied with a memorable hook and bridge, creates a very listenable affair all-round. As far as club tracks go, it’s easy on the ear with it’s style whilst avoiding the pitfalls of creating a boring, everyday uptempo track. Pretty good combo in my books.
(Oh, and R&B Fridays fans are definitely going to enjoy this!)

The talented duo LA & Mr. Music give you a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of their upcoming single, The Stars. Shouts to Tibs for this, and the description below:
“The video depicts Mr. Music playing the self-produced instrumental for LA, who formulates and records the opening lines of the first verse. At the beginning and end of the video, you’ll hear snippets from the actual track itself. In fact, the intro of the video is the beginning of the song and right away you can hear the rising uptempo beat that becomes the canvas for this pop single“.

Shouts to GWHH for sending this remix over, with LA remixing Jeremih’s hit I’mma Star. LA definitely goes in on the verses, and drops some really nice lines. He fits in nicely on this song, and takes the beat on with ease.
