If you recognise the name GemStones then you’d know this fella has long been affiliated with Lupe Fiasco, having heavily featured on a lot of Lupe’s work to-date. What you may not know is that GemStones has been quiet for a minute, whilst switching his focus to his personal health (lost a incredible amount of weight!) and personal enlightenment.
I’m pleased to see that he’s back on his grind in the form of this mixtape, and having heard one leak from this (where he talks a lot about his weight loss and issues he faced trying to achieve that, amongst other things) I can tell you that he’s not lost any of his ability to make good music. This is certainly one to check out and props to gowherehiphop for premièring this!
