The hugely anticipated mixtape from Jean Greasy arrives right on time, and I’m sure there’ll be no shortage of takers on this free 11-track project.
It’s fair to say Jean’s really developed her reputation and fanbase with her entertaining tweets, being very responsive to fans as well as broadcasting her natural wit, and certainly stands up as one of hip-hop’s true beneficiaries of Twitter. This project comes at a great time to capitalise on that growing buzz, and the releases we’ve heard from it so far suggest the whole tape should live up to the hype. Free grab and stream available below.

The husky-voiced rapper returns to the limelight with his latest mixtape effort, hooking up with Drama for a 20-track mixtape with loads of original material.
It has to be said that this wasn’t released to much fanfare. Whether that’s because it was relatively unexpected, or because fans are impatient with the fact his TM103 album is repeadtedly delayed is unclear, but we’ll see if the Snowman can reel those heads back in with this one. Few solid features on this one too, grab the tape for free below.

As far as mainstream hip-hop goes, this is one of the better tracks to have been released in recent months. It’s got an enormously addictive quality that I just can’t put my finger on, though I’d hazard a guess that its probably down to Roscoe’s ridiculously infectious hook.
Pretty standard mainstream hip-hop video in terms of theme, with lots of naked girls and plenty of disposable income being casually utilised. It a generally busy and active video, which plays off the natural energy and intensity of the song, and adds that little bit of #swag to each verse. Nothing special otherwise, but nice to have some visuals to the song regardless.
This track knocks pretty damn hard when cranked loud (brotip: put it in your car), and can be grabbed from here.

Another cracking track for the car: new single from DJ Drama, off his forthcoming Gangstz Grillz 3. Production is as you’d expect from a Drama track – full of bass!
Has Fabolous ever dropped a lame verse on a feature? He continues his decade-long good form with his opening verse. Roscoe Dash brings a catchy auto-tuned chorus, which is something he’s becoming famed for doing now (I hope he doesn’t over-use this), and man of the moment Wiz Khalifa also adds a verse. Definitely worth getting a hold of below for those who like a slice of mainstream hip hop.

Tyga’s latest project drops, and fairly suddenly too given that the few mixtape tracks released prior to this have only surfaced recently. He’s growing in stature as a rapper, and I’m keen to see what stage his progression is at now having shared a huge hit with Chris Brown with Deuces. There’s already some internet hype about the Chris Brown collab on this tape, Wonder Woman, so it seems they may have struck gold again.

First off, sorry for the confusion over the last day or two: we’ve been making some changes on our side of things, which will hopefully improve your experience on the site in the long run! Things may still look a little funny occasionally, but don’t fret, it’s probably intentional/being worked on!
Back to the music: Maino lets loose of his much anticipated mixtape, helmed by DJ Drama. I’m looking forward to this one as it’s always great getting a bulk of new Maino material, and he seems to be gaining a stronger foothold in hip-hop with every track he leaks. Be sure to give the mixtape a go in the player, where you can also download it.

Also featuring DJ Drama, Yo Gotti, Diamond & Shawty Lo, this is one monster of a remix! With a beat that’s full of lots of bass this is one posse cut you probably don’t want to miss out on.

Well today’s been a bit mixtape crazy, first we had The Game, then Wale and now this. Cookin’ Soul have consistently come through with brilliant remixes to your favourite tracks time and time again and DJ Drama has brought you some of the best mixtapes over the last few years, so what better sight is there than to see them link up? That’s a rhetorical question btw.

Loso finally drops this, about 2 months after initially expected. Still, can’t really complain though as it’s free music and Loso always brings quality to his rhymes. Indi dropped a track from this yesterday, and I expect most of you will be clamouring to get your hands on the mixtape. I’m personally really looking forward to checking this out, as my estimation of Fab increases with every track of his I hear.
I’m posting this whilst tired/trying to do coursework so I’m leaving you with the link I was given (Megaupload). Deal with it.

Chris delivers his new mixtape bang on time. Presented by DJs Drama and Sense (who also did B.o.B’s recent tape), I’m reading really good things about this on Twitter.
I’ve never hidden my enjoyment of Graffiti, and I’m really looking forward to this.
Chris strikes me as someone with a work ethic and desire similar to that of Trey Songz, and I expect there will be some similarities throughout which is never a bad thing.

When I found myself getting 3 Gucci Mane tracks today, I realised something: I’ve just quadrupled my number of Gucci tracks from 1 to 4. I still don’t like him, but he’s steadily becoming a very big deal in mainstream hip-hop. All 7 of the tracks in this post are feature heavy, and include appearances from Trey Songz, Diddy, Lil’ Jon and others.
