What is it with me and cover tracks these last 24 hours?!

It seems that Foals also ‘wanna know your name’ as they drop off a cover of the Swedish House Mafia/Pharrell hit. Really likeable cover too, as Foals do their best at retaining the energy of the original, despite it being a live performance by an indie band.

Tinie Tempah/Swedish House Mafia - Miami 2 Ibiza

Tinie Tempah….Swedish House Mafia….Miami 2 Ibiza….? Absolutely no reviewing of this track is necessary, you know exactly how this is going to sound. I’ve been pretty critical of Tinie in the past and I’m not taking any of that criticism back, but he can make music that’s good to listen to if you’re not taking him too seriously. Basically the UK version of Flo Rida.

Oh, this is also going to be on his upcoming album, artwork for which is to the left.

Edit: I actually can’t stop listening to this, been on repeat all evening!

Swedish House Mafia and Pharrell-One

After being told about these guys a little while ago by Jish, I finally got around to listening to them/this track. As per my recent softening to this sort of stuff, this is a house (surprisingly) track with massive potential that I’m enjoying. Like the beat a great deal, and Pharrell’s vocals add a nice urban sensibility to the track, preventing the beat from getting too overbearing.

Definitely one to check out if you like a bit of dance, or general club/uptempo tracks. Wouldn’t be surprised if this ended up being a signature track of the upcoming summer.
