Never really liked this guy’s music to be honest and feel he was/is hugely overhyped, but I’ve got time for this track. The dark, atmospheric nature really feels like a piece of music as opposed to an everyday ‘production’, and makes for a hugely engrossing effort.
The chilling synths are laced with bright touches of keys, bringing a nice contrast that has that ‘sunshine after the rain’ sort of vibe, whilst being infused with a grand, universal feel that really lets your mind wander. The final third is somewhat dominated by the progressive, stuttered synth line that acts as the ‘build’ and payoff for the track. A genuinely good bit of music.
