
Wow, it’s been a while since these guys were on the scene. They’ve quietly crept back (in my world at least!) with this typically bittersweet affair.
With a similar sound to Makes Me Wonder, Misery has that unique Maroon 5 bounce to it, and its quite funny that considering they’ve been around (and out of the spotlight) for so long that no-one has (successfully) imitated/stolen their sound. Hence, it makes for a really welcome change to anyone’s current listening, and a refreshing summer sound. Uptempo with a bittersweet tint on the lyrics as previously mentioned, this is one that will make you feel like they never left.
Anyone else think that lead singer Adam Levine could quite easily be mistaken for a younger Richard Alpert/Nestor Carbonell? No?
