Holiday Parade Cover Goo Goo Dolls- Slide

Sup holmes’. Fans of hyperlinks will enjoy this post.

Previous featurers (yes thats a word) Holiday Parade in the Acoustic vs. Original debate are part of a Rockin’ Romance covers album, including Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up (probably made more popular by the Rick Roll fad than anything else) and The Darkness’ tragic I Believe In A Thing Called Love.

Back to business, Holiday Parade cover the Goo Goo Dolls hit Slide from their massively popular (and brilliant) Dizzy Up The Girl. I’ve only heard this once as I’m watching the Brazil game at the moment, but it seems pretty good. Download and form your own opinions. I’ve also included the original, and an Allred (remember him?) cover of the Goo’s “Name” as its also good, but I don’t have the original. Why? ‘Cos I’m such a sterling guy!

Tempest's Best of '09... better late than later.

Yes, the title makes sense. What of it?

Anyway, hereon-in is my Best of 2009 straight through the internets to your face. Mostly your eyes, then ears. Not sure you’ll be able to taste much of it. I digress, I’m going to attempt to get my albums of the year out of the way first, then probably just artists that I’ve enjoyed in 2009, irrespective if they actually released anything (decent) in 2009.  How does that scan?

Right, I hope you’re sitting comfortably; this could get lengthy………wahey!! But seriously, read on.
