Hal Linton-Memory Loss

Following up the breakthrough success of his previous ‘The Rock & Roll Experiment’ mixtape, Barbadian singer/songwriter Hal Linton is gearing up for the release of his highlighly anticipated ‘Technicolour’ mixtape this summer.

This is a pretty damn good introduction to Hal if, like me, you’re unfamiliar with his work. Whilst his various profiles box him into R&B/pop, he’s got a heavy injection of soul in his style that gives this track a very Miguel-esque vibe about it. The production is bassy and winds sleekly through the track, giving Hal a smooth backdrop to work from, and he delivers a strong performance with a vintage-inspired hook that complements his more typical R&B-style work in the verses well. A good track from someone we’ll hear plenty more from.
