Fresh off the grill from Azealia’s Twitter comes her first release since the Fantasea mixtape just a few short weeks back.
She’s backed up by a piercing and intense Araabmuzik production, with sharp melodies thrown in with what seems like more than one percussion layer, creating a busy soundscape. It sounds like it’ll be a mess but it actually works quite well, and being the short track that it is certainly helps prevent it becoming annoying. Azealia’s raps are significantly less upbeat than her regular material, instead being colder and more stiff, giving her output a seriousness that matches up to the production well.
One of her better releases to date, and one I expect the hip-hop heads will find much easier to get behind.
