Mansions on the Moon-For Awhile

I’m really beginning to love these guys. Their unique brand of night-pop is always a treat for the ears, and this second release from their upcoming debut LP certainly fills me wth high hopes for that album.

Moody, electronica-style synths open up the track, and are quickly injected with atmosphere by an echoed vocal sample, and followed by quietened yet driving percussion. Add into the mix a light guitar strum and heavier, almost tribal percussion for the hook, and you have a diverse and refined blend with a powerful ambience. Undoubtedly a superb platform to work on, and the mellow, melancholy vocals from the group that boast addictive melodies that make the most of the production. Another top effort from the eclectic and excellent Mansions on the Moon.
