I’ve just looked through the history of OTU, and was absolutely gobsmacked to find I hadn’t posted anything from Bluey. Very odd, given that he’s one of the UK’s most gifted upcoming soul/crossover singers (I Know being his best track to date), but there we are.
The mixtape is his first to date, and looks very promising. As a fairly new act to the scene, he’s gone for the more accessible route of offering remixes for the most part, which works well as an introduction to his material for the masses. His choice of tracks certainly looks good too, ranging from Kings of Leon to Aloe Blacc, which is another good move in grabbing a wider audience. High hopes for this tape, and high hopes for Bluey’s future: do your bit for a very, very talented UK vocalist and grab the mixtape for free below.
