Mickey Factz - Powder

Mickey spits some heat over Kanye’s new single, Power. After the recent leaks, Light Up and Bitch I Think I’m (among others), it’s clear to see Mickey Factz is lyrically merking hip-hop right now.

New Kid Cudi & Kanye West - Erase This

Relax yourselves, this is just a radio rip, you’ll have to wait a little while before we get hold of a CD quality version (hopefully not too long). This was played on a US station recently and will feature on Kid Cudi’s new album, due for release September 14th, which is a date also set for the new albums of Kanye West and label mates Big Sean & Consequence.

Onto the track itself, the sound in general of this is a lot more uplifting than his rather emo debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Go give it a listen by clicking below.

The-Dream - Trilogy Music Video

Warming you up for this Friday’s R&B Fridays (yes that’s still happening, despite Ajay’s absence), The-Dream meshes together 3 songs into one and makes a video out of it, he’s just that damn talented. The three tracks are, Yamaha, Nikki Pt. 2 and Abyss, which all also feature in sequence on his new album – Love King.

50 Cent/Floyd Mayweather Speak On Friendship & Manny Pacquiao

Ahhh, isn’t that cute? These two discuss, with MTV’s Tim Kash, about how great pals they are! They also both speak on Manny Pacquiao, with more than enough ‘subtle’ suggestions that Manny has something to hide.

Miami Beat Wave/Dead Prez - This Is Life

Three-man production collective Miami Beat Wave combine with Dead Prez to give us this nice and chilled slice of hip-hop. This is going to be on Miami Beat Wave’s upcoming compilation Slight Modification, which if anything like their last effort The Launch, is going to be pretty damn good.

Miami Beat Wave – This Is Life ft. Dead Prez

Trav/Papoose - We Book 'Em Video

G-Unit affiliate Trav & Papoose collaborate for this street banger, with Papoose slaying this song. Starting to sound like a broke record now, but I really wish he’d get on his grind and try and recapture some of that street buzz that got him that million dollar deal, (which seems like a lifetime ago now!)

Snoop Dogg/Xzibit/Ice Cube - Live From L.A.

A short version of this song was used for a BET show (also called Live From L.A.) and the video for this track premiered on that show some 11 years ago! We have only now managed to get our hands on the a cd quality version of this track, which features three West Coast legends. Grab this nice summer song below.

Snoop Dogg – Live From L.A. ft. Xzibit & Ice Cube

Lady Gaga - Monster (Urban Noize Remix)

Can’t say that I’m a fan of Lady Gaga or her work, this remix, (brought to you by Urban Noize) however will find a place in my playlist for the next few weeks!

Lady Gaga – Monster (Urban Noize Remix)

Benny Benassi - Spaceship ft. Kelis/apl.de.ap/Jean-Baptiste

Kelis comes through with another dance type track, (courtesy of Benny Benassi) with Black Eyed Peas rapper, apl.de.ap, also featuring. All in all this has all the right ingredients to become a big hit, with yourselves and the mainstream media.

Benny Benassi – Spaceship ft. Kelis/apl.de.ap/Jean-Baptiste

Rick Ross/Wiz Khalifa/Curren$y - Super High (Remix)

Wiz and Khalifa join Ricky Ross for the remix to his track about getting high (funnily enough). As you can see from the pic, they literally took inspiration from this in the studio whilst recording! Grab this laid back track below.

A.G. - Everything's Berri

A.G.’s (D.I.T.C.) anticipated underground LP, Everything’s Berri, dropped yesterday and believe it or not, the visual to your left is the promo video for the album. U.K. readers: Marks & Spencer advert?

Anyway, I got my hands on the album and I’ve had a little browse through this morning. It’s a really chilled out effort and is going to be something I shall be bumping all summer.

The below track is my favourite so far from the album. Have a look and see what you think.

A.G. – Infected

Oh, and if your still wondering the connection with the ‘berries’, the production on the album is handled by Ray BeRRi!

Quick Blast: Capone-N-Noreaga

This track first appeared on CNN’s Camouflage Season mixtape which you can download for free here.

This morning, a version with executive producer Raekwon has surfaced so I’ve uploaded both versions for you to enjoy.

This is the kind of material which CNN and Rae are putting out recently which really restores my faith in old school hip-hop. They have even managed to get Fat Joey Crack spitting his Jealous Ones Envy steelo.

Sean Price-Shut The Fuck Up Video

Some new visuals and audio from Heltah Skeltah’s Sean Price to wake you up this morning.

What better way than with such an aptly-titled track as this.

Sean Price – Shut The Fuck Up

Congratulations Eminem!

Our congratulations go out to Em after crushing the competition with his first week Recovery sales.

According to thisis50.com, Em sold 753,870 in his first week. Not bad in the current climate huh?

If you’ve been living under a rock over the past month, make sure you check out the drops from the LP and then get your hands on it to see what the hype is all about.

Curren$y – The Hangover

New Single which is off Curren$y’s upcoming album, Pilot Talk – due for release in a couple of weeks. As you can guess, this track is about suffering from a hangover, something most of us can relate to….

Consequence/Styles P - Don't Stand So Close Official Video

If you checked out Consequence’s mixtape, Movies On Demand, then you’ll know how good this track is already. If not, watch this excellent video to the left here and immediately grab the mp3 for this below. Or be branded a fool, whichever you prefer.

Consequence – Don’t Stand So Close ft. Styles P

New Tracks By Cassidy/Grafh

Nice couple of tracks here, the first is off Grafh’s brand new mixtape, From The Bottom. Absolute monster of a beat here, which will be blasting the bass off your expensive speakers and with Cassidy collaborating, you have two rappers punch-lining the track away.

Grafh – So Easy ft. Cassidy

The second track is Cassidy on his own, where he raps about all the battles and beefs he wants to see happen in hip-hop right now. Pretty cool concept, as it’s the sort of subject us fans often talk about with our peers, “who would win out of such and such” etc.

Cassidy – Face To Face

Andre 3000 Covers 'The Beatles'

Quickly, quickly. Football is calling.

Andre 3000 covers The Beatles All Together Now.

Originally recorded for a Nike commercial (as you may see from the artwork) All Together Now mainly keeps the traditional acoustics, but we are treated with a jazzy piano in the background which helps update its appeal.

Andre 3000 – All Together Now (The Beatles Cover)

Quest Tha Young'n/Sheek Louch/Termanology

Visuals for Quest Tha Young’n and his lead single Stick Up from his debut album Quest For Greatness.

Make of it what you will. Some pretty crazy flows from Term at the end which makes it, all in all, well worth the watch.

Audio here. You love me really.

Estelle Brings Us A New Mixtape: #ialmostmadeamixtape

The very talented (and British!) Estelle has collaborated with DJ Trauma to bring us this mixtape, which features the likes of John Legend, Nas, Maino & Kardinall Offishall. Haven’t had a chance to properly check this out myself yet, but as it’s a preview of what’s come from her next album, All Of Me, I expect this to be very good. Go download it below.

New Tinchy Stryder Video: In My System

It’s no secret that we’re not the biggest fans of Tinchy Stryder on this site, however there is no denying his mainstream appeal. Due for release in August, expect this new single of his to be a hit. At the moment I haven’t got a high quality version of this track, so you’ll have to make do with this one (for now).

Tinchy Stryder – In My System

Quickblast: U.C.B./Wale - Diana

DC based group, U.C.B. & Wale combine to bring us this nice & reflective, summer track.

U.C.B. – Diana ft. Wale

Big Boi - Tangerine ft. T.I.

After the success of Shutterbug, Big Boi capitalises on the momentum with this new track (from his upcoming album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty). Featuring T.I. this track has a beat that is so atmospheric, expect this track to be a hit too.

Underground Hip-Hop Part 11

Whilst Ajay’s away I’ve been tasked with holding down his UGHH Collections for a while.

He’s left me some material he wanted to get in there and I’ve added to this with some bits and pieces, both new and old, so you can keep your ears to the very best of the underground scene.

Juvenile/B.o.B - Headbanger

Been a fan of Juvenile for a little while now (well his older stuff anyway), so to see him collaborating with B.o.B was a pleasant surprise! The track, labelled Headbanger, doesn’t disappoint and is one that is dedicated to the female of the species. B.o.B fans should enjoy this, so click the glorious red text below to get this.

Havoc / Big Noyd Perform Live

Gotta love this.

Mobb Deep’s Havoc and long-time collaborator Big Noyd performing a medley of old school Mobb tracks live.

Always fun watching Havoc perform without Prodigy because I remember him once saying how he sometimes forgets his lyrics and has to ask his side-kick to remind him!

The energy looks crazy in there!

New G-Unit

Remember G-Unit? This sounds like some kind of mixtape track. Typical G-Unit sounding production alongside a disappointing Tony Yayo (albeit short) verse as to be expected.

However. Is this the same 50? Him and Banks go in hard and it’s nice reminiscing on how they used to sound back at the turn of the century.

G-Unit – Where The Dope At

DJ Khaled: All I Do Is Win (Remix) Official Video - Featuring A Lot Of Artists

The list of features on this: Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Swizz Beatz & T-Pain. Whoa! Makes for a good video, always good to see Nicki Minaj, Jadakiss, Diddy & Fabolous – the rest…not so bothered about (in all honesty).

Peep the bright visuals to the left, grab the mp3 below.

New Mickey Factz Freestyle: Over Drake's 'Light Up'

Mickey Factz takes on one of my favourite tracks from Drake’s debut album – a wise decision, this beat is almost tailor made for him. With a haunting beat allowing him to fluently express his thoughts, this is just classic Mickey.
