A phenomenally original post title for this collection of new music. New stuff from John Mayer, Game, Jamie Foxx/Justin Timberlake and much more from loads of big names after the click.
I need to stop having to resort to multiple track-filled posts and post this sh*t up when I get it, like I used to. Bad habits eh?
Jamie Foxx-Winner ft. Justin Timberlake
-An unfinished track from this duo, and it’s pretty good. There’s a verse to be added on the end, but it’s unknown who’ll be filling the spot yet. Liking the production, and the song is generally pretty decent with growing potential.
Young Jeezy-Scared Money ft. Lil’ Wayne
-Believed to be the street single from Jeezy’s upcoming album, this is a decent affair with a typical Jeezy-esque production. Feeling Wayne’s verse a little lot more than his recent work, which is a good thing.
T-Pain-My Money Long ft. One Chance
-One Chance have apparently recently signed to Nappy Boy, an interesting move. Whilst it has to be said that T-Pain does go pretty hard on this (those of you who have heard Karaoke will like this), One Chance’s talents are completely wasted on this sort of production. Regardless of that criticism, T-Pain’s reference to the YouTube classic David After Dentist is hilarious!
Game-Through It All
-Very dope track from Game, with an airy and atmospheric melody set onto some pretty nice drums. Game switches the flow up a few times with great success, and I’m definitely enjoying this track. 100% worth grabbing. Day-by-day, I grow to love Game’s music/guest spots more and more.
John Mayer-Edge of Desire (Acoustic)
-A fantastic performance from one of the (many) superb tracks from his newest album, Battle Studies. This was actually recorded in Mayer’s own apartment, as a thank you to his fans for grabbing his album (you’re welcome John!). A great, raw performance which is definitely worth grabbing.
Joell Ortiz-Make It Without You
-What would this post be without yet another sweet Ortiz freestyle? He comes on a completely different tip here, taking on Alicia Keys’ Sleeping With A Broken Heart and doing so well. It’s probably the first time I’ve heard Ortiz on his emotional side, and it’s a successful display of versatility.
Wyclef Jean-Nou La ft. Game
-Game’s got that Midas touch right now. This track has good production, and one which Game thrives on. His verse flies in out of nowhere and he absolutely tears the track up. The hook is pretty odd, and I have no idea what it means, but this should definitely be grabbed for the Game verse.
Snoop Dogg-I See You
-Another really good track from Snoop. It’s a slower effort from Snoop, with a half-decent hook (despite the AutoTune). It’s a pretty likeable, easy-to-listen-to track which is the bonus track from Malice N Wonderland.
