Wayne finally gets the Eminem feature he’s been moaning about for years (apparently Forever didn’t count). There were rumours of this when a preliminary tracklist for Rebirth was released, and I’m quite surprised Drop The World is real.
The track itself: the beat is pretty decent, with the rock element used to decent effect for the chorus only. Wayne isn’t singing either, which is always a plus. And yes, Eminem does completely destroy Wayne on this. When I say completely, I mean completely. Whilst Lil’ Wayne isn’t actually that bad this time around, Em is on another planet. Eminem comes with a high-paced flow, similar to the verse he dropped on Forever, and it’s another great sign that the old Em is back.
