Underground Hip-Hop Part 5

Enzo x TampaPro
Click below for the 5th instalment of the revered UGHH series. As always, there are both new artists and slightly more established artists that you may have missed.

We haven’t had one of these with individual tracks in a while, and there’s a lot of stuff that I’ve been sitting on, so this is a Special Edition with 13 tracks. Thank me later.

Chino XL-Nahh!
-Really feeling this joint. Chino tears up the mic with some dope lyrics, and the production fits him nicely.

Enzo-My Eyes
-Shouts to Enzo for sending me this joint. Definitely enjoying this track, and his laidback delivery ties effortlessly into this relaxed production. A talented newcomer who we will certainly be hearing more from.

Mick Boogie-Just The Past ft. Big Sean, Black Milk & T3 (of Slum Village) (nVMe Remix)
-This track has 3 of Detroit’s finest spitters on verse duty, and is a great track. The beat is haunting, and definitely fits all of these guys well.

Bisco Smith-Morning Breath
-Bisco’s got a good flow, the production is decent and a little different. It’s got a nice mix of old school flavour with a modern edge.

M.O.P.-Crazy Ft. Termanology
-Getting into the gritty stuff with this one. M.O.P. bring their usual intensity, and do so over a very nice Statik Selektah beat. Termanology comes through with a well-delivered verse too.

Red Cafe-I Tote Guns
-Featuring a prominent Biggie sample for the hook, Red Cafe delivers a nice slice of raw hip-hop here.

Warren G-100 Miles & Runnin’ ft. Raekwon & Nate Dogg
-Moving away briefly from the ‘angrier’ stuff found in the above two tracks, Warren, Rae and Nate come through with a more catchy track here. Good to hear new music from Nate Dogg after his recent health scares.

Tech N9ne-F.U.N.
-Tech N9ne brings a very orchestral production and turns it into a track to express his frustration at those who ‘disrespect’ him. Good track.

Mr. Capone-E-Three of the Best From the West ft. Snoop Dogg & The Game
-Don’t know much about Capone, but I got this purely for the features. The Game drops a good verse, and Snoop Dogg’s feature isn’t too bad.

KRS-One & Buckshot-The Way I Live ft. Mary J. Blige
-Decent track all-round. A fairly soulful track thanks to MJB, and KRS fans should also enjoy this.

Beanie Sigel-The Ghetto
-Turning it right back around to something more raw, this sounds exactly like something from Royce Da 5’9″ ‘s Death Is Certain album. It’s a good track for fans of introspective hip-hop.

Deep Rooted-XL (feat. Killah Priest & Sha Dula)
-Another track I’m definitely feeling. The production is simple, and this one is about the raps.

Add-2-Superman
-Closing this edition off with this absolute banger. The production is superb, and Add-2 spits some tight rhymes whilst switching up his flow several times. Great track.

Cool post, i’m definitely getting downloading tomorrow.

Just posting about Mr. Capone-E. he’s from Hi-Power Entertainment, some shit west-coast label that put out way too many Bizzy Bone solo’s and Bone Thugs projects, all of which have been fucking awful. He always features on them too.

He was on Sky Sports News recently as well talking about doing a song for Amir Kahn!
