We finally get a video for the lead cut from The Roots’ upcoming album, which shares its name with the song here. Dope track, nice video.

Fat Joe has recently released a new album, which seems to have re-sparked 50 Cent’s dislike of him.

Some of you know that I don’t care much for Shawty Lo or Gucci Mane, so I wasn’t expecting much when I first listened to this track. Thankfully it did not, lyrically speaking, turn out to be an insult to my ears and is in actual fact a decent track that is worth picking up. Ludacris smashes it (as usual) with his feature, and The-Dream delivers a good hook. Get it below.

For those of you who don’t know, Horse Shoe Gang are actually Crooked I’s younger brothers. They’ve been dropping freestyles regularly, and here’s a great one over Jay-Z/Swizz Beatz’s On To The Next One. I absolutely love this beat, and these guys do a great job on it.

The techno-tinged lead single from Consequence’s upcoming project has been given the video treatment. Click here to the get the audio for the Kanye West and John Legend-assisted track. The video is OK, although it looks like it was filmed on a handheld camera.

Kels’ has dropped a remix to Number One, a track that I quite liked originally. My initial opinion on the track (found here, along with the download) has changed, as I do now think it’s a pretty good track.
(Also, the video for the original can be seen here)
Onto the remix: T-Pain and Keyshia Cole hop along, and both fit into the song well. It’s definitely a good remix, especially Keyshia’s part which is excellent. Bit annoyed that Kelly uses AutoTune, but whatever.

Can’t say I like this track a great deal as Birdman is nothing short of terrible and I’m getting bored of Wayne, but the beat is alright and it’s probably going to be an absolute smash. Check the video out here.

I should have posted this about a week ago, but meh.
Nice freestyle below from Bobby Creekwater, going in over Kanye/Lil’ Wayne’s See You In My Nightmares. I’m still surprised at how few rappers have dropped verses over this beat, so props to Bobby for taking this on and doing well. He’s actually improved the production (IMO) a bit too, by adding more drums. Very good stuff.

Something a little different to put in your download folder. Fans of the whole electro/techno/dance thing will really enjoy this, it’s a good remix by Hey Champ, and a pretty likeable upbeat track. Shouts to Sean for getting this.

Pretty nice video here to kick off Monday. It’s a trailer for Posner’s upcoming web series, as well as the upcoming mixtape.
It’s only just over a minute long so is worth watching, especially as the new song in the background sounds awesome!

Now we’ve all heard Mario Winans smash hit I Don’t Wanna Know and most of you will have heard the second single, Never Really Was, from the same album. What you may have not heard was the remix to this track, if that’s the case, you are in for a treat.
Featuring Twista, who delivers a verse with an energy only he can provide, the remix is so much more upbeat than the original.
Enough said - you should know by now that this Classic Collabo feature is unmissable, get the track below.

What a picture. Glorious. None of these tracks are totally my thing, but they’re inevitably going to be huge mainstream tracks, and you’ll probably catch them in clubs too.

A fantastic performance from Keri Hilson on Radio 1′s Live Lounge, with her covering Mr. Hudson’s hit Supernova. Definitely worth watching, as Keri shows that she can sing really well in a live environment. Good work.

This is the next single from the upcoming Young Money album. I can’t say I’m feeling this, but if you liked Every Girl by these guys, then you’ll definitely enjoy this too. At least this one has the much-improved Tyga on it. Lloyd’s chorus is the highlight of this track by far though.

Wale’s flow is great as always, and it’s another strong effort from him.

If you know me, you’ll know I’m a massive Lost fan. I came across this recently, which is part hilarious, and part really good. It’s a pretty good summary of John Locke’s entire life on the show, and will definitely give you a few laughs!

Another very dope track from the NBA Live 10 soundtrack. This is an uptempo anthem which will appeal to fans of all genres.
The verses are nicely flowed, and the hook is good too. The production is the winner here though, and just like the track I posted yesterday, is another great upbeat jam. What a soundtrack this is shaping up to be!
See below for the download link, as well as another awesome track from the NBA Live 10 OST from the super-dope Murs, which features Kurupt and Jay Rock.

I’d never heard of Sir Aah before a track surfaced a while back that featured Crooked I and Royce Da 5’9″, and I certainly didn’t know he looked like that-how many rappers do you know that are cricket fans?! Interesting to see an Asian rapper who is half-decent, and picks great features though (although he’s actually from the US).
The Clipse are great on this as expected, and the track is worth picking up if just for that. I’ve chucked in a fairly dope bonus joint below too, which again has some sweet guest verses.

Check out the video here for a track I’ve been loving ever since it leaked a little while back.
It’s a very simple video, but remains effective and allows the song to take centre stage. I’d have liked to see a little more going on in the video to make the track even better, but there we are.
The track is awesome though, and can be picked up from here for those of you who missed it first time around.

Mickey and B.o.B have hooked up to create the track Mind Blowin’ for the NBA Live 10 soundtrack. It’s a very, very good track with superb uptempo production, tight verses and a great hook from B.o.B.
This track will be staying in my rotation for some time, don’t miss this.

We dropped a great track from Maino a couple of days ago, and now we bring you the full mixtape. It’s always good getting new material for Maino: We’re big fans of him here in this lunatic asylum, and we hope you are too.
Pick up the mixtape below for what I expect will be some good hip-hop. Of course, be sure to check out the review of his debut album that was released a few months back.

The Drake x Wayne x Kanye x Em collabo has been given some visuals. Watch it and tell us what you think.
(P.S. Did you spot the Slaughterhouse cameo!?)
EDIT (Ajay182): Apparently, the Slaughterhouse cameo is a hint to what’s going on behind-the-scenes. Rumour 1- They might sign to Shady Records,
Rumour 2- They’re going to work on a couple of collaboration tracks.
No reason both couldn’t be true…

New single by Disturbing Tha Peace’s latest recruit, Lil Scrappy. The track features Ludacris, who lays down a great verse as you’d expect. Some decent visuals here to see – particularly during Luda’s verse.
