The title of this track is misleading. It isn’t a soppy homage to a girl. It’s a bouncy, upbeat affair that is just awesome, and has its roots in a classic African song. Click below for some new Wale.
This track is just the epitomy of cool. It’s titled as it is because the production is a sample from an African song of the same name. Apparently, this track used to be huge in Africa in the 90′s, and it’s easy to see why.
Wale does a great job on this. He rides the beat with consumate ease, and I’m not sure I’ve ever heard him flow this well. Some of his lines aren’t bad either, and this is an all-round awesome track that’s guaranteed to have you dancing. It’s awesome to see Wale trying something new again, and he always seems to be trying to cross genres.
This is the unmastered version, so expect a slightly altered version on the upcoming album Attention: Deficit.
