Looks this is being released as an official single then. The final version of the track we delivered here has Juelz Santana thrown into the mix. Good song, pick it up below.

Really feeling this track. I can’t quite remember where the sample is from (if you know, I’d appreciate the knowledge!) but it’s a very nice production. It’s got a relaxed vibe, and Mickey does his thing as always. A must-have for hip-hop fans.

Another underground rapper for your ears - Skyzoo (who has received props from the likes of Jay-Z and Nas) has been on his grind for a few years now, generating a buzz within the underground community.
Having moderate success as an independent artist, Skyzoo will be releasing his debut album The Salvation, which is set to be released on the 29th of September via Jamla Records, founded by Grammy-Award winning producer 9th Wonder.
Click below to hear a few of the tracks he’s made over the past year or so.

Another more underground artist to balance out the mainstream stuff that’s been on here recently. This is real soulful hip-hop.
“Von Pea, Ilyas, and Don Will formed Tanya Morgan in 2003. They have received high praise from media elites such as Spin, The Source, XXL Magazine, a resounding seal of approval from the blogosphere, and are considered by many to be our generation’s torchbearers for De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest. ”

Here’s the absolutely final, perfect quality version of Forever, originally found here. Normally, I refrain from posting too many versions of the same track, but it’s fair to say that this is a rightful exception.
It’s worth picking up just because the high-quality version lets the drums bang a little harder, gives Kanye a couple of extra bars, and will sound a lot better when played loud.
There was also some talk that the final version was going to feature an R&B singer on the hook, but that’s been scrapped, and rightly so in my opinion.

Damn. Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein was found dead in his apartment earlier tonight.
He survived a plane crash last year along with Travis Barker, which took the lives of several others, and sadly he has too now passed away.
I’d got into his collabo work with Travis Barker a few months back, and it was awesome stuff. I’ve watched videos of them performing live, and they were ridiculous. He’d toured with some of the biggest names in music recently, and his name was getting bigger by the day. Definitely a talented dude, and a loss to music.
Click here to read the MTV news article for further details.
Rest in peace DJ AM.

Something new from Raekwon for your ears, if you’re familiar with his and/or Wu-Tang’s work, then you know what to expect. If not then then I can only advise you to download this if you’re into ‘real rap’ - it’s a typical gritty New York track, it’s all about the storytelling. The beat provided by Dre is good too, go get it:

Back in ’05/’06 Papoose’s buzz could not be any bigger, releasing 13 mixtapes in less than 2 years. It landed him a $1.5m contract to release his debut album The Nacirema Dream with Jive Records….
Fast forward to ’09 and that album never materialised. No longer with Jive Records, Papoose has gone back to what he knows – the mixtape scene. I’ve only just listened to his mixtape Military Grind, which was released a few months ago, and it’s actually very good. Click below to find some of the better tracks from that mixtape – as well as a few classics from Papoose’s collection.
